I finally got around to making the DD look a little better. I put on a leveling kit, 305/65/18 BFG AT's, and painted the headlights and fog lights. Let me know what you think...

Looks real good! I want to "level" my Ranger like that as well, really give the truck a nice stance. What kit did you go with?
Can't go wrong with BFG AT's either.
Thanks for the comments
I got my kit here... http://www.autospringcorp.com/produc...expedition.htm That's what 90% of the people on the F150 forum I'm on were using so I went with them. They're basically just a spacer that goes on top of the strut. Rangers are a little different. In order to level out your truck you'll have to crank up the torsion bars a little bit. Which is sort of a good thing since you don't have to actually buy any parts, but I've heard it's a little hard on the ball joints.

Everyone on the Ranger forums does the torsion crank, but like you said it does cause stress on the ball joints.
There has to be a way, be it spending money, to do it "properly" without causing stress on the ball joints or other parts of the truck.
There are a couple different companys that make leveling kits of the Ranger, but again everyone on the forums say its a huge scam and waste of money to do it when you can do it for free.
Looks great!! You guys all have badass trucks

Looks great!! I wish my Dad would play around with his a little, but that aint going to happen!! lol!!
Looks real good man. The new tires make it look a bit more "beefy" too. I want to do a level kit on my truck but I don't have the luxury of cranking the torsion bars since I don't have them.

Looks great, what size spacer did you go with?

Damn, we could have swapped the springs out of my old Ranger if it wasn't already gone. The guy I bought it off of said it had 2" lift springs in it. They definitely looked like aftermarket ones, but I don't know what brand.
I went with the 2" spacer. It still has about 1/2"-3/4" rake which I like, but the crazy factory rake was way too much

looks alot better.. when is there going to be a whipple sitting on that motor?
Looks nice Ray, although you're going to hate those tires. I went through 2 sets on my Lincoln in 30k miles. Just switched to General Grabber AT2's and after 4k miles, are showing NO signs of wear.
Thanks guys
I'm hoping the tires last cause they look good and weren't cheap. When I worked at a tire shop I saw a couple 150's that got 50k out of these tires and few smaller trucks that got 60-70, so I think with good rotations they should last a while. If I get 20-30 I'll be happy, that'll probably be like 4-5 years for as much as I drive the truck.
