I think I saw that run, congrats for sure! I ran with no tune after my full exhaust install.
Pulled my best reaction time to date my first pass .04 but kinda bogged off the line. Practice tree event I went too, payed off. My second pass, my reaction was a .08, and I ran my best mph to date 99.
With a quick go over and tune, change to some racin oil. Take my spare tire out, clean my intake maybe pick up a K&N, get some octane booster. Thought about runnin Zmax or some Lucus lubricants. I then should be able to get into the 100mph club and hit mid thirteens, hopefully.

Should have stopped by and said hello. I see cars there and never put user names with the cars beyond the guys I know.
It's fun to watch guys try to cross over that 100 mph barrier. I've seen everything possible pulled out of cars to get there :D
Watch the octane boosters. Most of them are snake oil, mostly kerosene. Also, you only want as much octane as you really need. Octane slows the burn rate to resist detonation. If you have higher octane than needed, you can hurt performance. Most of the off the shelf bottle stuff raises says it raises it 3 or 4 points. What that means is 93 octane goes to 93.3 or 93.4. Hardly worth the $$'s IMO.
BTW - I had a new besgt 60' at QCR of 1.61. Slicks seem to be coming in ;)
True that, next time I go I'll make a point to say whats up, for sure. I hung out and talked to Bossman, he said he met u n u go out to Irwin so I plan on goin out there soon too. Thanx for the heads up on the booster. Will be catchin up with ya.

I may have found a combo for the burnout that would work... it worked for the last pass Saturday, 1.65 60'. I think Ed just wanted a shot at the DR's at an affordable price. Slicks were on it Sunday, 1.67, 1.67. I just don't like how they feel like they're wandering a little with the big car.
Brent, X2 what Bob said about the additives and octane. You're thinking correctly... weight is free horsepower. Take everything you can out of it, spare tire, jack, passenger seat. Glad to see the reaction times are good, keep it up!
Bob, sorry we really tangled up your thread.
Glad to hear your car is running good. And thanks again for the tire advice you gave me, the ET streets are hooking much more consistently than the radials ever did. I just got my two step hooked up this week and already I'm loving it.

We aren't the fastest car at the track, but we might be having the most fun!
Best so far - 11.957 @ 117.09 on 10-18-08
That's cool Mike. Glad the tires are working out.
I will have some real thoughts for you about slicks, but so far. yeeeeeeeeeeeehhhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwww w!
I just did a cam swap yesterday. I think we went too big with the first one. First impression on this one is GREAT. We will see what the track says ;)
nice 60' Bob!! Can't wait to see what you can cut that down to! You launch like a mad man! I'm glad to see your work is finally paying off for you, keep up the good work!
Thanks Bo. I swapped cams yesterday and found a new problem. No tracton in 2nd gear on street tires :D It will come, I just need to stay patient.
haha that's a good problem to have!! glad to hear she's runnin strong!!
