anyone have experience with them? They sound good. Heard lots of good about their GM converters. Half the price of PI and DirtyDog too

honestly do not skimp on convertor. now having a good convertor i would not deal with a cheaper one. but that is my opinion. the car will drive a lot nicer with a solid built convertor. usually with convertors you get what you paid for.

I second not skimping on the converter. I had an Edge converter and sent it back to them 4 times and it still wasnt right. It was in that middle of the road price range.

I HIGHLY recommend that you get ahold of Lenny at Ultimate Converter Concepts. He got all my issues straightened out. Customer service was great.

I was planning on getting one from PI or Dirty Dog, but then my friend told about ACCPerformance. People with th350s and 700r4s seem to like them a lot, but I cant find much about their 4r70w converters. If I cant find any info I'll go with a more expensive one

Just do yourself a favor and give Lenny a call. He will take time to talk to you and go over any questions you have. Do some searching. You will see that his reputation speaks for itself.

I cant speak for those other companies other than that PI makes good GM converters. I dont know much about their mustang converters.

I know nothing about the comapanies mentioned here, but a general comment on converters.....

Just because a company has a good reputation with another type of tranny does not mean they will get yours right. So much of converters is experience and their data on what to do with them. We see this with the 2.3 stuff. Nobody has a good data base to get the stall right, regardless of how good the company might be. I have seen really good companies send out real crap converters when they are out of their knowledge base.

Stick with someone that knows the tranny and combo you are building and give them the best possible information you can.

Thats what i forgot to get at. The company you seem interested in seems to have a good reputation for GM type transmissions. That does in no way shape or form mean they will do as well with a ford transmission.

also suggest calling converter companies. you will get a feel for their knowledge over the phone. i called Yank converters and talking to the owners and we met in middle of what was needed. ended up ordering a couple converters from yank because of their service.
