Question Bought a new stang need help!!!

I Bought a 96 mustang from a guy who put a vortech supercharger on it and side exhaust on it and He lost interest and sold it. Well the car has a engine problem. When I rev it up and also when you give it throttle it cuts out and misses. I believe that is all he put on it. I have bigger injectors and a new throttle body and plenum and other crap that he didn't put on yet. What would cause this.I had a mustang before that had a similar problem it was the intake manifold it was warped and had a vacuum leak.Could this be something like that.I haven't had much time to look at the car but any ideas on what could be the issue.

Sounds like if you do not have the injectors installed that the guy installed the supercharger with out the supporting mods? AKA Injectors, larger MAF and a tune. I would look into those areas because if its running lean you could hurt the engine in short order.

Hey thanks a lot guys. I am actually on leave for about a month and I have about a year left in England so no carlisle for me :( plus it needs a good bit of work. The bike in the pic is not mine that pic was taken at the guys house. This is a dumb question but do you usually have to upgrade the injectors when you supercharge it.I know he still has the 19# injectors on it and I haven't got a chance to look at the MAF yet.He gave me 40# injectors do you think that is overkill or should that be good.
    Thanks again

Hey I just looked on my mustang and noticed that he still has the stock MAF on it. What size MAF would you guys recommend getting for it.

You might be able to get an extender and keep the stock maf. If not how much power you pushing? I have a 05gt maf I could sell you and then you'll need a maf housing from vmptuning.com. If you use the 05gt maf in a 3 1/2" housing it will support up to 400-450 wheel hp and not peg. 300 wheel hp in a 3" housing.

The MAF I have is all corroded and crappy I want to get another one. As far as horse power goes I have no idea there is still things I need to put on but I highly doubt its above that range.

Is this what I would need below.

How much do you want for yours.Forgive me for asking so many question but I am still new to this. If I got your MAF and the housing at VMP tuning what else would I need to make it work with my 42# injectors. Are the plugs the same for the sensors.

if you were to buy mine you would need a housing still. now what housing to you need.... blow through or suck through. im running a blow through which mean the maf is after the supercharger and then the TB. suck through goes BEFORE the supercharger then to the TB. so if you are running a suck through that is what you need. BLOW through is easier to tune I have heard...

    i really suggest using this.

this is what i have on my KB GT and i have no problems what so ever. i have 415rwhp and i have great drivability and it was easy for my tuner to work with. i have 42lb injectors as well.

you should consider getting the SVT focus pump from ford. there like $120(around there) and they plug right in where ours are. theyll support about 500rwhp or so. easy swap.

    most importantly....get a dyno tune.
