It sickens me to see such a nice car like that. Unbelievable how some people just have no respect. I know you would like to take the law in your own hands but sadly in this day and age it just does not pay to do that. I know from personal experience. Hopefully justice will be served, and your car will be back to show condition soon. Would hate to see you miss an entire summer. Good luck buddy.

Very sorry to hear this, Mike. Was there booze involved (with THEM) or what? How stupid do they have to be to leave that place early and think you wouldn't realize they did it????? That's a big WTF?

Hope everything works out before you end up a criminal, too.

dude i feel your pain. two years ago i took my car up to college for ONE weekend and it got vandalized. almost exact same thing as your car. no tire slashing, but both side mirrors got kicked off. it was $2500 worth of damage. insuranced cover it but the $500 deductable still sucked. i ended up getting a termi rear bumper, but it still wasnt worth the pain.

Your insurance shouldn't go up, Someone did a hit and run on the front bumper of my cobra like 3 years ago, I turned it into my insurance, paid my deductible, and it was fixed. My rates never changed at all.

Hell, even with almost totalling my car last fall, that accident (in which I was at fault) only raised my 6 month premium by $82.

What I'm trying to say is, don't let turning it into your insurance stop you from fixing the car. Full coverage is for times just like these.

Yeah it probably will look twice as good when it is all said and done with but it is the fact that what you worked so hard to do and pay for was destroyed in a minute. . . And as a side note only Ricers would draw a penis on the side of someone's car because they wish they had one of their own WHAT THE CRAP
I am still in Highschool A senior and i see how screwed up the younger generation really is there are a few that understand how hard people work for what the got and that they should treat others property with respect but the majority could care less. . . again WHAT THE CRAP

In a case like this I'd do insurance 100%.
You get the car fixed now and the insurance company goes after the vandals and deals with the legal system.
Get 2 estimates from 2 high end places or dealerships, get your reimbursement and get it fixed right wherever you want. The $500 deductible might come out of your reimbursement but maybe not depending on your insurance company and if they prosecute and win you should get that back.
Not too much to think about IMO, like Dan said thats what insurance is for and you get a nice fixed stang now.
    Good luck.
