170lbs is way off from standard! These dogs should be around 100lbs-130lbs!

These dogs have a interesting history. They were created for fighting by mixing an English Mastiff with a wild dog from the Canary islands. They are AKA Canary Dogs and just recently have been acknowledged as a pedigree. I did a lot of research on them and almost got one but ultimately ended up with a bullmastiff.

Here's Ajax my bull ... he's a little guy 130lbs but breed to standard.

I've been doing my research b/c I fell in love w/ this dog yesterday and I totally agree w/ you. I think the guy I talked to w/ the dog was being a lil dramatic about the dog...seriously.

They are beautiful, so is your dog! I've always loved Mastiff's especially the Neapolitan ones but I've always been too scared they'd be too much for me to handle. Is your dog nice? What's his temperament like?

I have a pit now and he's a lot of work. The next dog we want is a blue pit. I really love Standrad Poodles but my husband says NO WAY!!

If you don't mind please send me the info you have on Bull Mastiff's since you have one!! I'd really appreciate it!!

    Thanks :0)
