So how in the hell can someone say "I didn't see it" as they decide to go from left lane to right lane slamming my car and pushing it up and over the fn curb. All because they couldn't wait for car to make its turn into the VW Dealer.

I'm fine.

Driver front fender is crushed and not much room for tire to go up without rubbing. Door just hits at lower body line because of fender. Passenger front rim is junk and tire is split along sidewall from being forced into curb. Not sure how it's holding air but I was able to get home with it. Which is only few miles down 19. I have no idea if driver wheel is bent untill I get a jack under it and spin it by hand. Car seemed to go straight which is good. Looks to be sheet metal and wheels/tires.

I have my doubts as to whether the paint can be matched. I have never seen a Comp orange car even get matched close.

I know exactly what you mean in Wexford... that road is retarded-busy during rush hour and its mainly because of people turning left!

Ed: Saw the whole thing. Was in the left lane about 50-yards back when the mini van cut you off. I wasn't driving, but if you need a witness let me know.

Know what you mean about Rt19. It's not just rush hour, it's anytime up there. Found out that the road was proposed to be much bigger (in the '70s!), including a parallel access road - but our elected officials saw things differently. I've written letters, sent emails, and have made phone calls on this topic quite frequently in the past 3-years. Believe it or not, some things have actually been done. Ex 1: 279/79. I've been yapping about that ridiculous merge point and have proposed that they extend a lane to the Wexford exit of 79. They're extending the merge point, but only half way. (some progress is better that none). Ex 2: Rt910 and Cole Road. I've seen t-boned cars for years. It's also a big school bus intersection and has blind spots at the crest of the road -- they're currently revamping the intersection by adding a traffic light.

I bitch just like everyone else about our inferior infrastructure. I've also specifically proposed a center lane concept for 19 and am obviously not the only one that has. I've concluded that government and the public want it (money is already allocated), but businesses don't (they lose real estate).

My suggestion to anyone is to call, email, or write State Rep Mike Turzai at 412-369-2230 (125 Hillvue Lane, First Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15237) and let him know your personal experience or opinion. Voices are heard -- we just gotta get off of the compter and onto the streets to make a difference. Our Stangs deserve better pastures to roam!

Nice to know someone here saw it. I doubt I will need a witness but if I do. Guy was pretty sorry it happened. His minivan really took no damage. He got me with his left side just in front of his rear tire. He had nothing but a minor blemish in paint and a very minor dent which cracked his paint. Course I have to wait for him to call the insurance company which is same as mine (Nationwide) My agent told me if I don't hear anything by monday to call him and he will get things rolling.

You know putting in a center lane thru Wexford is easy. I've noticed that on both sides there is plenty of area almost all grass. Take 4-5' off both sides and they have a center lane. Businesses would only lose property that is basically unused. At this point one would think safety would be a bigger issue. Really needs done from crest of hill at Ingomar #2 VFD to light at RT910

Agreed. Two of their excuses is that they need to relocate the power lines and that there's not enough room for sidewalks.

We can build Taj Mahal stadiums that take people's money, but Lord forbid we improve the quality of everyday life for drivers and pedestrians.

Nobody looks over their shoulder anymore. I'm not familiar with that road, but I'm in favor of everyone taking our freaking driving exam every 5-10 years. everybody!!!
