Thread: No Boost

    No Boost

    Got my car up and running. Took it out on the street and my supercharger is not building any boost. The gauge is working because there's vaccum showing but no boost at all. Any suggestions on whats wrong?

    severe belt slip?
    maybe the blowoff valve is dumping all the boost?

    is the bypass valve bad?
    2015 A6 Mustang GT that so far has gone 9.48@147 but still the fastest prochargerd S550 in the world aside from Tim Essick's!

    I would say the bypass is bad.

    IS there any way to check to see if its bad?

    Son of a B!#%h

    I made an attempt to tighten my belt hoping it was slipping, only to notice that the supercharger is blown up

    I bought it used from another mustang forum from one of the moderators. He clamed it was just rebuilt with no miles on it.

    I'm just hoping that they will warranty their rebuild, but they probably won't.

    No. It was SN95 forums. I removed the power pipe, elbow and belt. By turning the pulley on the front the impeller is not turning at all. It did turn before installing.

    Also impeller is tight to turn with about an 1/8 to a 1/4 inch shaft play

    So what your saying is its locked up? Did you have the oil feed properly hooked up?

    When you say shaft play, do you mean in and out or side to side?

    Yes I teed in on the factory oil pressure fitting and threaded the other end in the supercharger. And it is side to side. The pulley turns but the blades do not.

    Wel, you do for sure have an internal issue then, question is, what is it? Any noises?

    No noise at all. the Factory oil pressure gague works so I have oil goin to it. I just pulled the line and brass fitting. the fitting is not clogged and has oil on the tip so it is getting oil. I don't know if I should even attempt to take it apart and see whats goin on.
