    McLouth to the braves!!!! WTF

Well just when i thought it couldnt get any worst in Pitt for the pirates....i was proven wrong again!!! Mclouth...a gold glover...all star....steals bases....hits home runs....ya he dont fit in to the pirates view on minor league caliber players they want to field a team with. Ive been watching the scores lately and keeping up with the pirates and so far this year was impressed with their late inning heroics and competivness. Well now i dont blame the rest of the team if they through in the towel just because upper management isnt making wise decisions. I know one player dont make or break a team...but the attitude of one player can be cancer or an enlightment and Mclouth was a stand up guy who kept his roots and didnt get the big league persona or attitude! Im very pissed off at this move...and i was going to call for tickets tommorrow to try n go see the indians vs pirates game....which i think i still will because the city of pitt is like no other but we'll c what the ticket office has to say when i ask for a discount on the tickets because of stupid GM trades!!!!! They need to fire Neil Huntington and especially for quotes like this :
“Nate is a quality player and person,” Huntington said. “But as we have said several times, tough decisions will need to be made as we build and sustain a championship-caliber organization. Nate has worked as hard as any player to become a starting major league player, proving wrong anyone who may have doubted him.

Build and sustain a championship-caliber organization....thats the biggest line of BS ive read in a long time!!! Well im thinkin the bucco's end up 22games back of first place and attendance races towards an all time low...great job buccos. that money upper managment is really earning their money....hey maybe they can take a pay cut and they can use that money to buy a good player!!!!! LMAO...

The owners of the Pirates and the Detroit Lions must be related...

The Pirates shouldn't be allowed to turn such a tidy profit while fielding such a bad team. This trend of trading their best players has been going on for 18+ years. They just don't get it...

I guess we've been spoiled by having the Rooneys for all of these years. The sad fact is that the great majority of team ownership out there is clueless and classless - and Pirate ownership is the cream of that crop. And after this year the major league record of consecutive losing seasons will belong solely to the Pirates...

GO PENS!!! ... and then it is less than 2 months to training camp!!!

i dont find this surprising at all. theyve been doing it for years now. its pretty pathetic how bad this team is run from the top. i love "championship-caliber", they cant even break .500. they wouldnt be championship caliber in AAA.

i guess this does call for a celebration though, worse franchise in any major sport will now be only the buccos. im sure we can sqeeze at least 20 years of losing out of this the way theyre going. until they explode upper management or baseball gets a cap, theres no stopping this freight train.

best of luck to mcclouth, i really enjoy the way he plays and how he acts. class act.

Lost interest in the pirates many years ago, they should have been sold and moved elswhere. What a waste of a new ballpark which I have not and will not step foot in. They have zero interest in even having a decent team, my prediction is the next trade will involve Sanchez.

    Very ture!

I refuse to be taken for a ride by Pirate management. They have been stealing money from the Pirate fan base for the last 18+ years. They run the team as a business, not as baseball team.

Forget the fact of them trying to being competitive, they are not interested in that. They are interested in going to the bank, and anyone who continues to take their hard earned money out of their pockets and supporting them is foolish in my opinion.

Spend your money on other things that you enjoy. Do not contribute to the train wreck that is Pittsburgh Pirates baseball! All your doing is making the rich richer, and they are looking to screw you again with a line of bs and young non competitive talent.

With the way baseball is handled in Pittsburgh, and the NFL being nothing more than way for thugs, women beaters, drug addicts and people who would hold no value to society if they couldn't run fast, catch a football, or dance around pounding their chest after doing something they get paid to do...thank God for Mario Lemieux!!!

If all that was left in this city was Pirates baseball and Steelers football I would be an NHL fan without a favorite team.

3 more wins...BRING THE CUP HOME!!!

A little league team embarrasses the Pirates yearly. The real question is why in the hell does anyone actually pay attention to the Pirates and go to a game. Just not worth it or are they deserving of your money EVER!

Every year I am offered tickets to goto games and refuse each time.
