    Truck vs. car Flathead engines

Besides the waterpump, can anyone tell me the difference between a truck and car flathead? Thanks...

Are you talking about the 337cid version used in the big trucks (F7/F8) vs the standard 239/255? If not, I'm unaware of any differences but I believe the couple flatheads I have are all out of cars so I can't do a comparison.

The car and truck flatheads are the same except for the water pumps. But the mercury flatheads are more cubic inch. I have a 51 8ba with a 48 three speed in my model A. It runs pretty good.
