Max tire size on stock terminator wheels ?(56k Warning!)

title basically says it all. i love the stock wheel design (not sure what the weight is yet but whatever). just wondering if you can fit like a 315 on them or something.

they 9" wide right? if so i believe a 315 will fit...may bulge a little...i think 305 may be the widest to fit nice.

The only 315 size I know of that will fit is the Nitto (i'm running the 315-35-17 Nitto DR) and they bulge a good bit. They run small though, I really don't think you could fit any other 315 on the stock rim. I would guess a 285 or 295 in "regular" tire sizes would be as big as you could go.

cool. maybe ill get them widened or something if the time ever comes that i need more than a 295-305.

the stockers just lookg great and best of all they come free with the car.

Yeah I love the stock chromies too. You can get the same exact wheel in a 10.5" rim if you ever wanted to.

is it a ford wheel ? or is it some aftermarket knockoff ? i may have to take up the 10.5.

the cobras are one of the only cars where i htink the stockers actually look good.

A 305 from any other company than Nitto is the widest you can go.

    The 10.5's are aftermarket knockoffs.

I got 315 sumitomo's on mine. I think they look good. I took some pics, but they're kinda hard to tell exactly what they look like. Sorry they're so big, I left them at 75% to show detail as much as possible.

Yeah, I saw that. Oh well, I'm slow. It took a while to upload the pics. I wanted to make them bigger so you could actually see what's goin on. Also had to throw in the pic with both of the stangs together

those definitely buldge pretty far. but i think it looks pretty good. and it protects your wheels from curb rash if you are a bad parallel parker.

when i wear out my stock tires maybe ill pick up a set of rears that are x10.5. ill probably stay 17 though. i think thats the perfect size for performance and comfort (and price) 18s are cool, but id rather spend my money on going faster. and in the off chance they get stolen, they stock replacements will be an even trade. ( i am from NJ after all)

maybe ill keep the stockers with some big fat DRs or slicks for the track. either that or ill put my winter weather tires on. which would have to be like a studded chained ice tire... bc im sure these cars are madness in the snowy weather. we had a hard time driving my dads 90 in just rain... haha.

A 500 RWHP Cobra is not much fun on a wet road. I wouldn't want to think about trying it in the snow.

i cant imagine a 500 hp anything being much fun on a wet/snowy road.

a guy i know with a 370 hp turbo m3 just went "flying off the road" in NJ a few days back. (luckilly hit nothing... just some mud on tires). my friends 380 awhp evo had no probs.

even driving my 200 hp truck on some roads sucks in certain weather. luckily jersey is flat.
