WTB: Corvette

My friend is looking to get a vette and can't find the right one. All of the ones that fit his criteria are either too far away or are perfect except for they're autos.

Hits criteria:
-no autos
-preferably no rag tops but if the right one shows up then cool
-under 10k

He's been looking for around 2 months and everytime he finds a nice one, it's auto and he refuses to get one.

He's open to any year that will fall in his price range. And if it needs some work that's fine, but he's not looking for something that he'll need to tear into before he can drive it.

He found the car he was looking for. He ended up with a 1991 L98 (?) 6spd convertible with black top. Red leather interior and 74k miles on it all for 9800! I'll post some pics up when we get it all cleaned up. It's a great looking 18 year old car.
