What a shame. From everything I've heard in the past he was a great guy on and off the field. Very family-oriented. It disturbs me that a woman was also found dead in the apartment. Details at this time are sketchy at best, but they sure leave me with a bad feeling.

When he was with the Titans he gave the Steelers' D fits every time we played. He was, in my opinion, the toughest QB in the league that I have seen. Even moreso than Favre. McNair played entire seasons while injured. He always laid it on the line. Few quarterbacks I can recall have had the athletic ability that he had - good pocket instincts - great strength and the ability to break tackles and improvise while on the run.

Just 2 weeks ago I watched him in the Pros vs Joes show. He didn't do that well - but he was stuck with PacMan Jones and his monster ego. Priest Holmes ( who I have always been a fan of ) was also on the show. Definitely a shame that Steve is gone at the age of 36. My heart goes out to his family and friends.
