thanks scott... i love the buell race kit, but i did have some intial trouble with one on my first lightning. the factory tune wasnt right with it and kept burning up the plugs (4 sets in under 1000 miles). when i got my current lightning, i had them set up a new tune and to this point (4800 miles) i haven't had any trouble. out of all the kits i have heard on buells, imo this kit has the best all-around sound. it might be a biased opinion since thats what is on mine, but it sounds good all through the rpm's, but it isn't too loud either. the other thing about the race kit is that you get not only the muffler, but a hi-po air filter, and a programmable ecm. supposedly the best person around to tune buells is the shop in hagerstown md. ive heard that they can get an additional 10-12 horse out of a standard 1200 with a race kit. im happy with the way mine performs and never wanted to make the trip for the boost in power... i have debated long and hard about getting a 1125cr, but i just love that air cooled twin and don't want to give up my bike for the extra performance.

[quote=scott5;210001] Another good exhaust that you can usually find is a Buell race exhaust on ebay(dont make them anymore), Travis on here has one on his xb12scg(bad ass bike!!!) and it sounds awesome all through the rpms, not as loud as mine at idle but mine gets raspy at high rpms where his stays a low/loud rumble like a harley.
