The new camaro's dont impress me too much...like every other car they weigh way too much....I dont know...I thought a 425hp SS would run better than they do...on another topic Ford needs to get with the program....get back to the good old days of LX cars and options that actually meant something....a 400hp n/a mod or pushrod motor would be sweet! prefferably an option between the two :D and stripped down LX versions with manual windows, manual seats, radio deletes, and lack of sound deadening. Some nice hardware options could include full length SFC's, gearing choices, 6 speed option, 15" wheels, and a few motor options (3v 4.6, 3v 5.0, 4v 5.0, and some pushrod variances would be nice!!). Even going as far as forged rotaing assemblies, compression options, and cam options would be nice. We have done more with less displacement now for a long time.....lets get some cubic inches under the hood!!! somewhere in the 351-427 range would fill the bill. sorry for the rant lol Bottom line: Ill take a termi over any camaro, period.
    made some noise....and some boost...and 377/442 rwhp/rwtq

I might have to beg to differ on that. I've seen GNs and turbo t's go low 11's on pump gas. I love mustangs and all but some of those gns are wicked as hell. I used to have a GN as did Mark (u1tarunit) on hear and those cars have fooled a lot of people on what they can do.

And that's why if YOU were making the decisions at Ford, they'd be in worse shape than they currently are - or wait, Ford wouldn't be a manufacturer anymore....

There's nowhere near a big enough market for stuff like that nowadays... sure, there's a small demographic of people like yourself that want to have all that choice and want to have stripped down cars for drag racing... they used to do the same thing with the b4c Camaro... it was the stripped version that the police departments purchased so they could do what they watned to the car... However, nowadays people don't want "garbage" with a big engine... they want some luxury... they want amenities... they want quality... All of the amenities require a sacrifice (weight)... the demographic that wants this kind of stuff is vastly larger than the demographic that wants what you want..... no offense, just stating what seems to be the obvious

edit: to add to this point, look at how frantic people are about gas mileage... yes, i'm aware that big displacement engines can get good gas mileage nowadays, but the fact is, the world is in a MPG frenzy (whether or not its warranted, its the truth)... And you can't be serious about wanting the FACTORY to give you compression options and cam options are you? You want there to be custom ordered cars from Detroit? how long do you want to wait for a car, and how much are you willing to pay for it?
