this guy i know thinks he has 750 hp

i know this guy who has a chevelle clone. big block alluminum heads 12 to 1 ,400 trans with 3000 stal, full interior street tires. he keeps bragging up his car. i dont think he has as much whp as he thinks. so i called him out. gonna race him next weekend after i get off the boat. im 331 10.5 to 1, aluminum heads 125 plate kit. what do you guys think?
i dout i will beat him but i just wanna show him he is not pushing what he thinks. i should be around 400whp i figure give or take but never dynoed.

How big is the bigblock? 396? 540? Big difference in cubes. Mines a small block at 414 cubes.... I'd be impressed if its NA with over 700hp. That car is also pushing around 4000+ pounds, whats your buggy weigh?

Have you ever seen the car in action or heard it at least idle? Some of those big blocks can tear it up with the right combo.

750? Thats a little much if it's a dedicated street car IMO but who knows..

502? prob a crate motor. i would say around 550-600 wouldn't be unreasonable. but with a big block there is too many factors too. i mean 750 IS possible but would say he is blowing smoke up your a$$. tell him to come to BBQ and we can video tape it lol.

A buddy of mine has an iron headed 502 in his late 80's Regal. Nothing exotic about it as far as I know. I'd guess the Regal weighs about 4k give or take a couple hundred pounds. It runs consistent 11.60's.
If the Chevelle has aluminum heads that are ported, I could see it being a bottom 11 sec. car.
Just a wild guess.
