Davies Ford service dept in Connelsville sucks

Just a heads up to anyone looking to have any service work done there, stay far away. We had a few small issues that needed taken care of on the Harley truck so I called and made an appointment to have it serviced there since we buy all our ford parts from them at the shop. He tells me to drop it off on Wed (2 weeks ago tomorrow) so tuesday night after work we drop it off with the details of what needed attended to. I make a follow up call around noon on wed to be sure everything was in order and we were on the same page. All good at that point. A few days go by and we hear nothing so I stop by around 6pm on that friday to see whats up, they are gone for the day but the truck is inside and the hood is up. Thats fine, ill leave them do their thing.

Forward to next tuesday, still no calls from them since the drop. The wife calls and they tell here they are waiting on parts and they should be there tomorrow. Cool, shouldn't take long to change a relay, breather o-ring on the valve cover and a transmission dipstick seal right? Guess not.

Fast forward to Friday, still no calls from them since the drop off. The wife calls again, they are still waiting on parts and upon checking the truck over they determined it also needed glow plugs so they were putting those in also and waiving the extra 100.00 deductible that should be charged due to the extra job. Never called to ask if we wanted it done, just took it upon themselves to do it. Anyways, the next promise is the parts would be in saturday morning and would be done in the afternoon. Not happy at this point but ive been in the business long enought to know things don't always go as planned.

So, saturday rolls on into afternoon and no call so the wife calls again. The truck is not done and they have no explanation as to why so the wife chews him out and says if its not done monday they are going to give us a rental, he pretty much sounds like he could give a shit and says the truck will be done monday. She hangs up and decides to call back and ask for a manager, they tell her he is with a customer and will call back. Never happened so she calls back and goes over the situation with a receptionist and she says she will pass our number to Jim Davies and he will get back to us. Never happened.

Fast forward to monday, still no contact from anyone so at 3 PM she calls again and he tells her it was done at noon. Then goes on to mention he was the manager and he was the one who talked to her on Saturday (Also the one who didn't call her back) and her calling back the second time on Sat was only waisting their time and she was only focusing on the bad things and not the good things they had done for us ( The 100.00 deductible they waved on the work we never authorized) The ****ers never called any of the 3 numbers we gave them once in 2 weeks and now he is looking for a cookie. So, instead of me running over at lunch time to pick it up if he would have called, I have to leave work at 5.30 to go pick it up, drop it off at the house and then go back to work. Need less to say im pretty jacked off and when we get there he doesn't have much to say, seems irritated. Then goes on to explain everything and I just tell him to give me the keys and go **** him self and shove the 100.00 discount up his ass. Put it on my debit card! Never have I seen such piss poor service in my life, hell Jim Davies himself never called back so I guess shit starts from the top and runs down hill.

I can't complain about the deal i got on my car...BUT... The salesman jacked my wife so bad that when we went back to pick the car up she would not even talk to him....Anyone with a wife knows that if they aren't talkin', there's trouble....Anyway, when it came TSB time there was no way I was going back there. I sent it to Smail.
I know a couple people who have had recent trouble with their service department. There are always other dealers to spend your money at.

Yep .... I know Jim and his dealerships well, they were clients of mine for about 8 years. Jim's a good guy personally but a very poor dealer who runs a loose ship. His father on the other hand was a GREAT dealer.

O-yeah don't hold your breath waiting for a call back from Jim ....

You have not stated what they repaired under your diesel warranty. My guess it's a 6.0L. They have a multitude of problems. I know, thats what I do..(different dealer). They may have done you a favor "or" Just used your truck to create some work. Was their shop busy? We always get customers approval for any repairs warrantable or other before anything is undertaken.

If anyone needs service work done, please call gary deangilis at 724-483-5541. He is the service manager at the davies ford dealership in CHARLEROI. We have two diesel certified technicians. I stock most of the parts for the diesels. If i don't have it, i can get the same day from ford powertrain warehouse in sewickley. If they don't have it, i will buy it from another dealer to get the job done quickley. We get diesel's in and out. Gary will work with you on non-warranty service work and so will i with the parts. Please do not let the way they run the connelsville store affect your decision to maybe come to our store. It's like night and day. Hope to see some of you guys soon! Thank you, dave

Correct, it is a 6.0L They changed the glow plugs, might have been legit, maybe not. Im just mad about zero contact and then trying to tell me they were saving me 100.00 on work I did not authorize.

Sorry man, the money made is still hitting the same pocket in the end. The man didn't have the courtesy to even call us back. Totally unexcusable.
