We work on alot a 6.0's and i can tell you we don't come across that many 6.0 trucks that need glow plugs. I can not remember the last time i sold glow plugs for a 6.0 diesel.

I agree. Everyone here at our store is aware of the crap that goes on in connellsvile, even the owner Mr. davies. I'm just wondering how long he is going to let the fire burn before he calls the fire department in.

I thought it was weird too because it never had any starting issues.

We have even been having issues with the parts department. We don't have alot of powerstrokes here anymore but a good many cube vans with the 5.4's we were dealing with meegan but that was a waste of time. Then i said davies cause when i worked at the mustang shop they seemed prety decent. Now service or parts is hard pressed for good work. Time to find a new Ford dealer to use.

Ya, no way you should have needed new ones. Especialy since last winter you had no issues and hardly plugged it in if i remember correctly. They were just soaking up your warranty.

sorry to hear of the situation.
sounds like with anything whether it be a dealer, speedshop, parts place etc, you have good ones that know what they are doing and know how to treat a customer, and then you have turds like what you just experienced.

davies ford sucks! ive had 3 bad experiences with them.i bought a mustang gt off them them in 94, on a saturday and they forgot to have me sign some paper work they tell me they will bring it to me on monday and have me sign it,well 2 weeks later i gotta go there to sign it or it would have never got done. 2001 i go to buy a lightning truck they said that i couldnt afford to buy that truck and i was like wtf.now yes im in my work cloths but if i couldnt buy it i wouldnt have been there.i was like go f yourself i wouldnt buy it here anyway.i learned a long time ago dont judge people by the way the dress. so then about 6-7 months ago they are trying to sell a cobra to a guy for 23k or something close to that they give the guy pics of the car and tell him all this bs.well he shows the pic of the car to another guy and he says i know that car.so he calls me ,its my cobra they are trying to sell my car to this guy and they never even talked to me about it. wtf i said if you wanna buy the car you gotta buy it off me. what nerve they have trying to sell a car they dont now anything about or even talking to the person that ownes it. i wouldnt buy anything from them or trust them in anyway!

Give Sturman Larkin a shot of Lebanon Church, pretty sure they are SALEEN licensed so im sure that could do work on yours even though its a Cobra

Lots of Ford dealers are that way

Just a heads up to anyone looking to have any service work done there, stay far away. We had a few small issues that needed taken care of on the Harley truck so I called and made an appointment to have it serviced there since we buy all our ford parts from them at the shop. He tells me to drop it off on Wed (2 weeks ago tomorrow) so tuesday night after work we drop it off with the details of what needed attended to. I make a follow up call around noon on wed to be sure everything was in order and we were on the same page. All good at that point. A few days go by and we hear nothing so I stop by around 6pm on that friday to see whats up, they are gone for the day but the truck is inside and the hood is up. Thats fine, ill leave them do their thing.

Forward to next tuesday, still no calls from them since the drop. The wife calls and they tell here they are waiting on parts and they should be there tomorrow. Cool, shouldn't take long to change a relay, breather o-ring on the valve cover and a transmission dipstick seal right? Guess not.

Fast forward to Friday, still no calls from them since the drop off. The wife calls again, they are still waiting on parts and upon checking the truck over they determined it also needed glow plugs so they were putting those in also and waiving the extra 100.00 deductible that should be charged due to the extra job. Never called to ask if we wanted it done, just took it upon themselves to do it. Anyways, the next promise is the parts would be in saturday morning and would be done in the afternoon. Not happy at this point but ive been in the business long enought to know things don't always go as planned.

So, saturday rolls on into afternoon and no call so the wife calls again. The truck is not done and they have no explanation as to why so the wife chews him out and says if its not done monday they are going to give us a rental, he pretty much sounds like he could give a shit and says the truck will be done monday. She hangs up and decides to call back and ask for a manager, they tell her he is with a customer and will call back. Never happened so she calls back and goes over the situation with a receptionist and she says she will pass our number to Jim Davies and he will get back to us. Never happened.

Fast forward to monday, still no contact from anyone so at 3 PM she calls again and he tells her it was done at noon. Then goes on to mention he was the manager and he was the one who talked to her on Saturday (Also the one who didn't call her back) and her calling back the second time on Sat was only waisting their time and she was only focusing on the bad things and not the good things they had done for us ( The 100.00 deductible they waved on the work we never authorized) The ****ers never called any of the 3 numbers we gave them once in 2 weeks and now he is looking for a cookie. So, instead of me running over at lunch time to pick it up if he would have called, I have to leave work at 5.30 to go pick it up, drop it off at the house and then go back to work. Need less to say im pretty jacked off and when we get there he doesn't have much to say, seems irritated. Then goes on to explain everything and I just tell him to give me the keys and go **** him self and shove the 100.00 discount up his ass. Put it on my debit card! Never have I seen such piss poor service in my life, hell Jim Davies himself never called back so I guess shit starts from the top and runs down hill.
I've dealt with 5 of them from NY to Pittsburgh and NEVER had a good experience. Phil Fitts in New Castle is the SAME way. They tried to sell me a truck last year that should have been totalled after an acccident it was in up in Detroit. They bought it at auction and never bothered to check its history. None of the panels lined up anymore and the parts department uses it now. They tell me they can't keep left front tires on the thing. One in wexford tried to sell an escape that was in a similar situation to my sister. Thr best part is, when you prove to them that they are a-holes, they just treat you worse!!

We would have had you bring it in that day. Fixed it that day, or emergency ordered parts for the next day and fixed it. By the way, we are doing all of connellsville's warranty diesel work here at the charleroi store and have been for a couple of days.

This sentence pretty much sums up most of my dealings with new car dealerships.

I know there's a few people here that work at dealerships; don't take this personally, because there are some good people in this line of work, but..........................yes, here's the but...........................as a whole, I've found them to be the most dishonest, underhanded, disrespectful group of people I've ever run across.

There are valid reasons why car salesman and service personnel are perennially among the top most distrusted professions.

Couldn't agree more, there aren't too many places you can lie, cheat, and steal from someone legally. Im in the market for another car and have been putting it off for about 6 months because it stresses me out so much.
