    if you car is--
    auto-410's
    manual-373's

i ran both and perfer 373's, they are more of a street/DD gear.there will be many different opinions here, its all in what you wanna do with your car.

4.10's will work great for you. Buying used gears is a gamble unless you know the car they came out of. You can find new gears that people never installed cheap on forums, craigslist, ect.

Exactly!!! 3.73:1 is the best in my opinion. But its just an opinion of mine which means nothing.

The difference between the 3:73 and 4:10 will be two to three hundred RPM at 70 mph. One thing to remember is that gears don't add any power. They allow the engine to get into the powerband quicker.

    I'd go with 4:10's.

see coming from the import scene a few hundred rpm was not much but when getting into domestics a few hundred is alot... i do have another vehicle so if i decide to go with 410s i dont have to run it all the time and my work is litteraly 3 miles from home so even just taking it there wouldnt be bad... thanks guys keep the info coming!!!

not too sure on that one buddy..try calling your ford dealer, ask for parts and see if they can run your vin, and tell you the rear end gear ratio..I doubt you can find out just by looking at the vin number itself. Who knows, I could be wrong though.

There is a way to mark the drive shaft and count how many times it spins when Turning the rear wheels to find out what gears are in it.

whoa wait a minute..that's a 5.0, wasn't paying attention lol..they may be 2.73's, or the optional 3.08s. One of the two. Scratch the 3.27's.

mark the driveshaft and one rear wheel with the upper fenderlip. jack the car up and have some1 spin the tire till it makes 1 complete rotation while your underneith counting how many times the driveshaft spins.
