Bingo, lol. I haven't had time to work on it this week at all, so it doesn't look like I'll make it to the show. I'm not driving the car again until I fix the problem.
Billy said he thinks it is the rockers, if so, it shouldn't be a hard fix. Even a bent pushrod or two isn't the end of the world.

It just started making that noise that day, or at least I just started noticing it. You don't hear much other than the exhaust when you're driving it, lol. I had some highway run ins with a Mach 1 the week before (Rio-3, Mach-0 ), I was really flogging the sh** out of the car that night, so a bent pushrod is also a possibility. I'm gonna tear the thing apart this weekend and find the problem. I haven't had time to work on the car since you saw it, I've had some health problems recently (all good now though), then went on vacation, so the mustang has been put on the back burner lately. I haven't driven it in about 5 weeks now, it's a shame :(
What are these "pushrods" that you speak of? J/k
Thats sucks man! Pull them all out and run them over a piece of glass. Thats about the easiest way to tell if its the pushrods. Now if any look like a U then I would skip that step and just replace them.

I started a full detail on my car yesterday and I am not making out to well with a short time frame. I did the claybar and the compound yesterday. The watter spots are all gone and paint looks great!! (I am not sure if it has ever looked this good because the flakes in the SB paint just dances now.) I ran out of sun light and had to quit but I realy didnt want to. This leaves me with the glaze and wax to finish the paint, then I have to treat the black plastic, pull the wheels and clean them up, clean the glass. Then I have to start under the hood. This blows!! All of this just because "THEY" had to oil and chip the road were I store the car so I decided to keep it out for a few weeks. I guess having fun with the car came at a slight price.
If it rains on the car after I get it all cleaner up I would not recommend beening with in 500 feet of me.

Forecast looks better but my parents decided to visit this weekend and I'll be taking my dad to the SAAC shelby meet at Beaver Run. His '67 GT500 should be coming back from paint next month so hopefully this will light a fire under him to get it going for Carlisle next year.
Have fun guys, I hope to go next year.
