This program is horse crap, and as a salesman in the business for 3yrs with GM and currently the last 6months with Lincoln, WE ALL here @ Ford Lincoln Mercury feel that the program is a pain in our Balls and should have only been awarded to GM/Chrysler...Ford Lincoln Mercury combined has i think its 11 makes that go with cash for clunkers, BUT Hyundai has 9 itself WTF!!!....I mean hell lets not forget about Pearl Harbor!

    PS
There is a reason people drive around in cars worth under $2 or $3 grand

Ok, I watched several of these vids. Am I the only one that thinks alot of these cars are worth more than $4500 if someone would sell them outright? Strange

Do you have any idea what your sales would have been for the same time frame without the program?

I guess nobody else thinks their jobs are somehow related or affected by the auto industry

The Expedition that went for almost 3 minutes, yes. They probably could have sold it for more than that. The Chevy Suburban that lasted about 30 seconds, well, probably not. HAHAHAH

We did 18 Cash For Clunker deals.

We had stellar sales months at both stores.

Not sure just how much better sales were because of it.

This whole program is ****ed up and shows what a wastefull lazy pos country this is anymore. We the tax payers foot the bill for zillions of dollars used to buy low income people transportation so when they break down they can leave them sit on the side of the road. These cars could have been used for that purpose instead of destroying them. Global warming is the biggest crock of shit, this earth has been warming since the start.

    Or how about this angle.......

Here is a plan to help stimulate the economy AND reduce global emissions (yeah, right). And what is the major reason the economy is struggling? Credit problems. The greedy creditors loaning money to people who don't have any so they can keep up with the Jones's. So, in an effort to get people to spend money, the government decides they are going to get people who couldn't afford nice cars in the first place (worth less than $4500), and give them loans (credit) towards the purchase of a new one?

If they could only afford a $4500 "clunker" in the first place, what has changed so they can now afford a $20k car?

    Brilliant, simply, brilliant.

Global warming is definiatly a crock of ****. The earth has been cooling since 98. It coinsides with solar activity, just like it has been doing since the dawn of creation. It is nothing more than a way to control the people. They want international law based on this crap. Can you imagine people in our government giving up the sovereignty of this nation based on a hoax. Sadly, these days, it's not even hard to imagine.

How bout my youngest stepdaughter preaching to me about global warming and how evident it really is..

This is the shit they teach in school and you can't tell me government has no say in that! I'm telling you, this will eventually make our hobby a rich mans one. If you drive that gas guzzler, you pay out the ass. There will be something here coming up. Just like the gas guzzler tax you need to pay if you buy an NA saleen, all whopping 325 hp at the flywheel and there's $1400 upfront out of your pocket. What a joke.

I just pray they don't outlaw "Gas guzzlers" or "Gross polluters" alltogether. I will guarantee they would if they could. On the subject of what kids are taught I teach my kids the truth. They are taught teachers are not always right. My son was given a paper to write on how the enviromental movement in general was helping his community. I contacted the teacher and told her that he would absolutly not write the paper.I told her if she wanted he would write a paper on how the enviromental movement harms the community. She allowed him to write that paper and he got an A. All the points we made were true and valid, but for all I know she just didn't want to deal with me anymore. I have told more than one of my kids teachers I did not want my kids sitting in on Global warming crap as well as other things I don't think they should be teaching. The school superintendent around here hates to hear from me. I try to watch what my kids are taught. These teachers (not all) are taking a page right out of Hitler's play book. Hitler said "We (The Nazis) don't need to get to the parents. We already have the kids."

Even if they do, how would the laws against such a thing be? I'd still drive the stang around loud and proud, unless they'd pull you over considering the police knew what they were looking for...hmmm....

And if they did that, i'd be out of a car..it's my DD.

I'd never let them take my car just because they thought it was damaging the enviroment. The line has to be drawn somewhere. They would literally have to kill me to take it. Not that a car is worth more than my life, but I will not stand by and let them run all over me personally. People not taking a stand against these bast*rds is why we are in the shape we are in as a country.

To be totally honest, I didn't read nor take part in this thread until tonight. I am not one for politics, I'm one to get up everyday before the sun comes up, and work my balls off until the sun goes down. i don't get paid much, but I don't want anything for free.. I work my ass off for what I have, an i'm only 18. If i grew up from a family that had money, I think id be in a better position but..from what i;ve heard from the democratic side of this, its total b/s..it seems to me that the republicans are pissed off because theyre gonnna be taxed harder than hell rather than the poor people..i dont really know what im talking about, and please dont think i do..I'm just saying really what I see going on..

and I agree, no ones gonna take my car I bust my ass for everyday and pay close to 500 bucks a month total for..Not in my time.

It's great that you work hard for the things you want in life. That's the true American dream. This Cash for Clunkers thread is a good example of how the Government takes your hard earned money and gives it to someone else who didn't work for it. One point about Republicans getting taxed and then I'll drop it (maybe) because I know you and others on here are not into politics. If Republicans (Meaning business owners-not all rich either as Obama would have you believe) get their taxes raised they have to either raise their prices or lay people off. In the end it's the little guy that gets hurt. IMHO all taxes should be collected via sales tax. As far as I am concerned it is none of the Governments business how much money I make or what I do with it.

Since your only 18 you obviously did'nt get to enjoy some of the good old days like I did when I was your age. It's unfortunate the younger generation does'nt really have a clue what's going on, not a jab at you but the younger generation will never really know what it was like to have some freedom.

A little off topic but I actually think you're better of being a bum waste of life who collects this money from the government by sitting on your ass creating more welfare recipiants.

It's the middle and upper classes who get screwed. I know a couple people working for the state not recieving their paychecks because pa is somehow out of money. The real kicker is the people on welfare are still getting funds, and the welfare employee's don't get shit! This is where were headed..

If the welfare checks stop that's when the fun will begin, they know the working class people are more civilized so that's who gets screwed.

I'll never figure out how people can just stay on welfare forever. How can a human being in this country not strive to do better? How can you be satisfied with nothing. I like being able to afford some of the things I want in life. I am willing to work to get them. I just don't understand how able bodied people have 0 ambition.

That's true, but when they take everything from the working class they will have problems. I can see another American Revolution coming. I don't want to see it, but wouldn't be surprised if I did.
