That's the way they are brought up, some people are happy with nothing. If you look at most welfare recipiants they are not starving.

We would be squashed like little ants. Back in the revolution days people were fighting with the same weapons. Now the government can taser a whole group of people causing probs in the blink of an eye. I really think were past those days.

I am not so sure we would be squashed like ants. I believe most people in the armed sevices would fight with the people and not against them, much like what recently happened in Hondures (I think it was Honduras anyway). The goverment should fear us not the other way around.

I think you would be suprised at the amount of fire power in the hands of the people, not to mention it would'nt take much to get some good stuff if it broke loose.

Well, the wife and I were out looking at cars today and I have to say my opinion stands. There are atleast 50 cars and trucks @ Cochran in Monroeville and over half of them look like decent drivers. Megan Ford has a bunch of decent looking pick ups sitting, I bet it is going to be alot harder to find a decent work truck if they keep up with this shit.

I heard on talk radio that ford will not be able to be involved in the cash for clunkers program, guess it's because they never accepted the stimulus money. Anyone else hear this?

It's more like another welfare program, giving people money they did'nt earn at the expense of others.

I see a lot of you are bashing those who took advantage of this program, but there are some people who ARE NOT free loading welfare scum that used the CFC program.

My mom actually traded her old winter beater jeep in because she was looking at a new focus since all of her kids are now graduated from high school and going to be away at college. In the last year she went from having to support 4 kids as well as help raise my nephew and now it's only her and my dad that she is fully financially responsible for, so she can afford a brand new car now. My mom works 50-60 hour weeks as a pharmacist and is just as hard working as anyone on this board. That's just an example of someone who helped pay for this program using it as well.

I don't have much of an opinon on the CFC program - but from the sounds of it, its a pretty big failure....

However, for those of you who doubt the global warming thing, you're very sorely mistaken.... Global warming is a real thing, and its happening.... what i don't understand is why we (human beings, organizations, governments, etc) are trying to stop it... Its inevitable... read any book about the earth's long and tretorous past, and you'll see that the earth has gone through tons of cycles between ice-age, warming, ice-age, warming, etc.... global warming is happening and another ice-age will come... how long this will take is anyone's guess... maybe human civilization is speeding up the process, but it can't be stopped - thus all these "green" programs created by the gov't are pretty stupid imho....

And to further this point - to the guys that work outside and say "its not very hot out, so where's the global warming?" - - - - - Do you understand that cooler temperatures in the northern regions of the hemispheres are a direct result of global warming?? Apparently not.... It sounds counterintuitive, but the science and mathematics don't lie.... I can go into a simple explanation if you like, but won't do so unless you would like me to - if you'd rather live in denial, fine by me :)

Don't get me wrong - i'm not a green freak - my car/bikes poulted the air as much as anyone elses... but if you take a moment to understand the truth, then you'll realize... and nothing i say comes from a government thing - i don't care much about politics except for those that affect my job (health care)
