    Cash for Clunkers

or whatever the F the government wants to call it.

I read that that whole thing is being stopped midnight friday. With over 23,000 dealers the program they have no idea how much of the $1Billion is even left. Thats how hard people have hit the dealers. I think it was good for 250,000 vehicles but they think that number may have been exceeded. Takes to long to get thru the proper channels to even get the trade approved.

    True that .... !

My dealers are going NUTS dealing with mess! The only bright spot of this cluster is they get to blow the engines up on all these junker trade-ins! ...

healthcare might resemble genocide at that point... :(

Shitty thing is, none of the politicians that want to push that crap through would ever want to rely on it to save their lives. Can't wait til the Obamarama **** fest is over. Hopefully the damage can be minimized and we can still save our country from his agenda.

We have sold 12 cars thru this program so far. Gotta really do your homework and act fast as a dealer to gain the benefit of the program. Then you get to wait for the money.

Cash for clunkers is just f'ing evreything up just as you would expect. I would think 90% of the cash for clunkers cars are $500.00 hoopties people bought to trade in. That screws the market up for poor people because now they just can't afford a car period. That means they can't get to work and drives them further into poverty. Another government program that costs billions? and makes things worse. WTF. And if thats not enough guess what -You paid for it.

Actually you need to prove ownership for the past 12 months or longer to qualify ...

You cant just buy a car to trade it in.
You have to own it for at least a year and inspected.

I did not know that. What happens to the cars getting traded in? Can you trade in a compact (good gas mileage) on a big SUV (Bad gas mileage)? I am just curious.

No, if your car gets 18 mpg or less you're qualified for a voucher for 4500 bucks. Thats if you've owned the car for one year.

You need to trade for something with a better fuel economy than listed. It has nothing to do with your car clunking or chatering. It's about fuel economy, what a joke.

This is true! Same here. Been a very cool summer. Actually the fifth coolest July since record keeping began in the 1800's.

Exactly serious. They don't want these vehicles or any parts of them anywhere near the streets. Old affordable work beaters are a thing of the past. Savings accounts are going to vanish too. Leaving your children money when you die, forget about it.
