    Classic Plates

I know a few of you guys on here either have them or have looked into them before. I want to buy a 94 and my credit union said they will finance if i get it titled under classic. Its an Ohio car so can i just title it right away in PA as a classic or does it need to be regularly titled first then apply as a classic? Any info would be great thanks guys

when you bring it to pa to transfer the title you will have to submit the paperwork for a pa classic title.
You have to provide proof of insurance and 4 pics of the car-front,rear,both sides to prove it looks like it did when you left the factory.

it is not an instant process and takes around a month. the car sits until you get the plate from harrisburg.

Does it need original wheels too? the outside of the car is the same as it came from the factory except wheels springs and exhaust dumps

I don't remember the title being changed to a "classic", but it's registered with the state as a classic....meaning just the plate and registration card shows it as a classic.

Photoshop some stock wheels on it or borrow some stockers for the pics.

Bringing this back from the dead

Thinking about these plates for my 94. My regular plates expire in a month or two. My car does not look factory at all. If I was to send photoshopped photos in would I have trouble with cops/inspection with different wheels, 4" cowl hood, and non factory stripes?

Basically if you pass the app for the plates is that the only time I should get a hard time

The cops could give you a hard time, but probably won't. My Fox had Weld's and a cowl hood and I never got messed with even when stopped at a DUI check point.

See the above post. Take a front and rear photo of your car ( can't see the wheels ) and find 2 side photos of a car with stock wheels.

Just went through this, they do designate classic on the title.

When I drove my 68 home from Maryland last year I had temp plates on it then came home and applied for the classic plates. Had to do the same thing with photo shop.
