took a jetta and a turbo wrx the other night on 837 ole reliable took home the wins on them both even gave the wrx the roll advantage only because i cant hook up for shit

believe it was an 07. not an sti just the 2.5 turbo. my mods are the basic bolt ons. aluminum heads, cam, exhaust ,ignition ,ported upper and lower plenums, cold air, bigger throttle body, and chipped and tuned. few other odds and ends but no boost or spray

haha nah a buddy of mine has a silver sti and even with my mods he still pulls on me and hes stock aint that a bitch

ya its stock with a exhaust only im pretty sure. those kids seem like big ricers always zippin around. they dont seem to understand much about the automotive seen

yep its a 4 inch straight pipe from the turbo back and the sti and the wrx owners are always highed up flyin around and doin dumb shit one of these days its gunna back fire on them or sumone else

iirc wrx's are 2.0 turbos, and sti's are 2.5 turbo just fyi

02-05 wrx's had the 2.0. 06'+ had the 2.5. So if the one he raced was an 07, then it in fact has a 2.5 in it.

So let me see if I understand your post? These two are always "highed" up as you put it and flyin around doing dumb shit? Then you take the chance of pulling up next to one of them and racing him? Sometimes it is not even worth it. I would not race someone in a 2000-3000 lbs missle knowing that person is always "highed" up. Not trying to be hard on you, but I remember you making a post that you were a young guy. I would not want to read about you on here having a bad accident. Try and keep it on the track.

thanks for the concern. but believe me or not this night the kid was actually level headed and im not lying when i say i dont like to race on the backroads its a nervous feeling not knowing whats around the bend but when people keep sayin there car will destroy yours or that mustangs slow and all that shit it adds up and the time came to settle the score. since then i havnt raced or done any illegal things on the roads. strictly becoming a track whore

Meh, sti's arent that fast. i raced one on RT30 in a '89 Courgar XR7 and was pullin' him. he may not have been really running me, but in my eyes i am the winner

you better get that turbo or supercharger before you talk shit on an STi.... pretty sure they run mid-13's bone stock
