87gt vs. Fourth gen Z28

went at it with a fourth gen z28 on 51 saturday evening. it was silver and i think was an LS1, not LT1... we went twice from probably a 45 mph roll lol. i downshifted into 3rd then we got on it and i hung with him dead even till i shifted to 4th then he started pullin on me. whoever it was, he was running rich as hell cause ive never seen more black smoke in my life haha.

nice car though and good race, maybe it was someone on here?

Don't think it was anyone on here.... very few f-bodies on here, and don't recall of a 4th gen Z28 other than one, and it wouldnt be the one you're speaking of...

What all do you have done to your car?

Best way to tell if it was LS1 or LT1 is..... did the headlights look like this

it had the round headlights, so it was and ls1. mods are in my sig. didnt expect to win, but it was fun messin around

yea - even a stock LS1 should outrun ya nicely....

but its a good kill nonetheless!

I've been there with the smoke coming out the back of teh car - that's some embarrasing shit, no matter how fast or slow your car is

They may have been Mike little billy(rio94 or someshit like that) knows him!car only has like 2500miles on it & he isnt the best driver!

His is Pewter isnt it?

Could have been his brother as well becasue they both have Pewter LS1s.

If it was either of those cars you shouldnt have won. Ill ask them next time i see them.

i just googled that color, pewter, and that was definitely it....he also had a woman in the passanger seat. car sounded good too

Neither of the two Pewter LS1s described above are stock.

I have seen bone stockers go 12.90s at PRP.

yeah im pretty sure it wasnt stock. sounded pretty badass and was putting out a ton of black smoke, which im sure a bone stock ls1 wouldnt do unless something was seriously wrong with it

well i have the same mods as ryans car and ive drove an ls1 before, i definately wouldnt be afraid of it....

I just havent found one on the road yet

If it was an auto sotck one or even one with lil bolt-ons i say close race.. If he had a six speed and mods, sorry but your 306 wouldnt of been that close... a h/c/i 6spd ls1 would easily keep up with a termy

ya i dont think it was stock, but at the same time i dont think it was a full h/c/i camaro...it didnt put aircraft carrier lengths on me, just started pullin away lol
