i had bought my mustang before i had my license and took my test in that... boy are new edges easy to parallel and the instructor told me he didnt mind sitting in a nice car for once.
Thanks, and she'll be getting more practice and it'll be from the right direction this time! The car she's practicing/testing in is a 96 sable, it's in descent shape loaded including moon roof and leather. It no Mustang but it's a pretty nice car, even though it ugly as hell!! I think it looks like a fish out of water. LOL!!!
That stinks! I still think the written test was the hardest part. They had signs on it that I have never seen before and some of the dumbest questions. I have since taken it so many times to keep my points down that it’s a breeze. (In my younger days I drove a little fast. ) The last time I went in the instructor looked at me and said “I know that you know how to drive, just keep the speed down and get out of here.”

better luck next time!
look at it this way, now you can put off the inevitable for a couple more weeks - the inevitable being her driving around with boys in her car....

My "old" insurance company thought so too because I got a paper in the mail telling me not to come back to them at the end of the year.

Oh man I forgot all about that one!! That was great!! Ashley was here when we watched it, she looked over at me and said don't even think about it!
***UP DATE*** Hey everyone, Great news!!! I took Ashley last tuesday to take her drivers test again and she did great this time!! I had her practice parking the right way this time plus Sharrie thought it would be good to take her to the DMV to practice parking there. It worked, she had no problem at all getting it between the barrels. Can you tell I'm just a little proud of her? LOL!! She went for her first ride by herself this past sunday, her and a friend went up town to our church's bazzar, she did good no new scratches or dents!!

Thanks guy's, she's a senior at Albert Gallatin. After graduating she's planning on going to Cal. for teaching. She wanted to go to school for photography but her wonderful mother and stepfather won't let her. I feel she should make her own decision on what she wants to do but they feel differently. She said it's actually her second choice so she's okay with it. I just want her to do better than her old man.
As long as she goes for something she's interested in she'll do fine. My parents did not want me going to school for Spanish/Journalism but then i showed them all the job opportunities and they changed their minds.

Did they have a valid reason for not wanting her to do Photography? I'm not sure why, but I don't expect that there is a huge Job market for such a profession... however, i could be wrong, i'm just going out on a limb ....
As long as she does well, there will always be a need for teachers... unfortunately, a lot of the kids that come out of high school and have NO CLUE what they want to do with their lives, go into teaching - particularly elementary ed.... there's lots of dingle-berries in that major, so fortunately for her, as long as she can distinguish herself as a good candidate, she'll be set to go for a long career...
If she likes math at all, there are always great opportunities in mathematics... see some of the articles below - what do they have in common? Nearly all of the best jobs available require a high proficiency in mathematics... I'm an actuary, #2 on the World Job's Rated Almanac... Its not for everyone, and its extremely difficult, but also very rewarding... If she likes mathematics, there will always be a job awaiting, no matter if its work like I do, or underwriting, or engineering, etc...

I agree, I just wanted her to do what she wanted. When in high school I wanted to go to tech, which I did, but I wanted to take auto body or mechanics. My Dad wouldn't let me and pushed me into taking buildind construction, I had absolutely no interrest in it and got nothing out of it. I didn't want that to happen to her. But she likes kids and say's she's okay with this, so I'm sure she'll do good.
