    Vortech setups?

So I have this crazy thought of a Vortech V-1 S trim and was wondering who has used this setup. Complete non intercooled kit. Could piece together an air to air setup as I know intercooled would be better.

Only thinking of about 8psi.....for now

Not sure if the cams I am using would work well. Hitecth Stg2 NA .550/.500, 234/230@.050 111LSA. The stg2's for a centri blower are same spec except being 112LSA. Not sure if lobe profiles are the same. Course the stockers could go back in till I could get proper ones.

Sanity may pull me back but then again. This is somethig I have wanted to do for few years now.

that lsa of 111 is way better than the stock cam lsa of 108(i think), but those would not be bad cams at all..

So far found the V1 S trim setup complete for $2899 new and my finger is slowly pulling on the trigger

Looking at the IceVex air to air coolers
    http://www.icevex.com/products_35vap.html or http://www.icevex.com/products_351090x.html

    or

Air to Water setup from Frozen Boost http://www.frozenboost.com/ which I would be more inclined to try. Plus the setups they have look easier on the wallet.

If I did it again I would have bought the tuner kit and saved hundreds over the regular kit. Just something to think about. You're probably not going to run an fmu and going to get a custom dyno tune, so why waste the money on the tune from vortech or the fmu..

I can get the tuner kit at $2549.00 but then need injectors and fuel pump. Pretty sure MAF and I would get it tuned myself anyways.

Complete kit has the 38lb injectors and new fuel pump.

There's always great deals on low miles 42#'s on svtp, and the corral almost daily.

Edit: Or as mike suggests, there are always 60's as well...but a little more money it seems.

Woot! Still won't buy from them again as they have zero communication.

Big brown truck dropped it off at work today. Yet I have not been billed for it

Not sure if it is a S-trim since they stopped making them so I'm gonna call Vortech to see if it is a S or newer SC.

I have been running a vortech set up almost 6 years. Very relible, 5 years with a V1 s-trim then a T-trim. Go with the tuner kit and add your own support mods.
