I've never dealt with them so I got a question. Our Mustang was love tapped in the rear. I went out and got some estimates, this is before I knew who the hitter's insurance co was, ranging from 700-1200 for a new bumper cover. I talked to SF and they say I can take it to any of their shops and it'll get fixed, they'll pay the shop direct. I asked what if I wanted to use a shop of my choice. He said in that case an adjuster would have to look at the car and he'll cut a check to us. Is this true? I'm not trying to make any money off this or commit fraud, just wanted to do the work myself. The last time we had the car in for body work they didn't really do the quality work I thought they would.
