Turns out that Pypes has the same system with 2 part numbers; one for curved tailpipes, one for straight tailpipes.

The curved one is out of stock, which is obviously the one my garage wanted to order.

The straight pipes system is in stock.

When I found out this information, I called the garage and told them about it, plus the fact that I'd prefer straight pipes anyway.

Just got a call back a little bit ago and they ordered it and should have it by Wednesday!

He said they should have done a little more research. I'm just glad it's getting resolved. 3 weeks without my car already, and that's long enough! :(

Hope to have it back by middle of next week or Friday at the latest

My car is STILL in the garage :(

I know they are doing all they can, just sucks having to wait, and wait ... and wait!!!

They got the exhaust on, and found an exhaust leak, realizing the header was bent. Had to order a new header, will arrive Monday.

UGH! I wanted my car back for this weekend :(

I got my car back today!

BUT........ I'm gonna have to call them tomorrow. My exhaust tips are at unequal lengths! How did that happen?

I think from what I saw there is an adjustment on the exhaust tips themselves, and the one on the passenger side is under the bumper, whereas the driver side one is sticking out from the bumper. How they couldnt tell that was like that, I have no clue.. but I'm not happy with it, so they're gonna have to do something about it. Hopefully it's just a matter of adjusting the tip.

It sounds good.. louder than before. I'm used to my old exhaust though so I gotta get out there and drive it some to break it in. Plus, it sounds like it is hitting off the rev limiter when Im shifting.. are those always set low? Never noticed it with the other exhaust.. but this one has way smaller cats and is more open than the other exhaust I had.

Just excited to actually have my car back!

I was thinking about you today and wondering if you got it back yet or not. Glad to see you did but at the same time that sucks you have to take it back. They probably thought you're a woman that you'd never notice. Wrong!!! LOL!! Keep taking it back until they get it right.

Glad to hear everything is ok. Getting the tips even and every thing tucked up is a bit tricky at times.

"Plus, it sounds like it is hitting off the rev limiter when Im shifting.. are those always set low?"

I missed that the first time. What RPM is this happening at?

4000-4500.. I know it's not more than that. Just confusing because this exhaust sounds so different than the other one.. trying to figure out if it's normal, or not.

    thanks for the help

I hate to say this but that doesn't sound right. Is it just the sound or will it not rev any higher. Do you have anyone in your area that you could take for a ride?

I believe it's just a sound it makes..

I have gone above those RPMs in second and third gears and that noise stops and it goes back to the normal exhaust sound.

I know it's hard to diagnose on the computer..

It was just my curiousity, that's why I asked. I'll have someone look at it

    catted x-pipe system from Pypes

I honestly think it's all just the sound of the new exhaust. I'm not used to it so I'm questioning everything. It's way different (sounding) than my other exhaust.

Still like to know everything is ok ;)
