2004 GT - My other on going project.

So something I have been long in trying to do is get this lil 2v 4.6 to run 11's NA. I have been close with a 12.25 in decent June air. Course that is with cams that are not set up where they need to be do to piston to valve contact. Still running stock valve springs which again are limiting me to only 6500rpms. An electrical or ignition issue that I have been chasing for many weeks now. Which I think I solved.....maybe.

So that last little piece of my 11 sec puzzle is now only 3 weeks or hopefully less away. Set of worked over PI heads that are velocity ported with bronze valve guides, Pacaloy valve springs. 4 angle to intake and 3 angle to exhaust valve job. Keeping with stock diameter valves but having intake valve modified which should net me another .040" piston clearance. Still will need to notch my pistons just for added clearance. Letting me safely set cams to 110 CL or less.

Once car is nicely into 11's will I begin to buildup for the blower install. Let the games begin

Ya I want to take advantage of the fall air. See how far I can get into the 11's. I'll have them on sometime around bracket finals. They should be done by the 14th but I'm hoping I have them sooner.

It's cool Ed .... Southern air is faster air anyway :D

Congrats on making the Street run off with a stick shift car!!!!

    Make us handshakers proud :D

BTW - I owe you a beverage of some sort, I could never get my stuff to come together at the same time to run the numbers I wanted this year. When I finally did try it on kill, rear end carnage ensued ;) You sure nipped away at it this year in spite of your gremlins.
