I am getting the tax credit which is just a bonus on top of the whole home ownership thing!

I appreciate the offer for help though and if I have any questions about it, I'll be sure to direct them your way.

Again, I also appreciate all the kind words from everyone. Any home owners with tips or suggestions, please feel free to chime in. I'm always looking for more knowledge and know how.

Thanks buddy. Indeed, it is right next to Millville. Feel free to stop by whenever you'd like. I'll always have the fridge stocked (at least one of them) and there will be a lot of penguin parties.

    You're always more then welcome.

    Anything really.

I need furniture, dishes and all the other little things that comes along with owning a home.

If you have any good suggestions of where to shop or know of somewhere that is a good place to visit to buy "house" items, that's always good to know. Or, maybe someone knows of sales that are going on right now. That could be helpful too. IE: I think I am going to have my living room and dining room re-carpeted before I move in.

Or, someone might know of little things to look for or to do to a house. I want to add my own personal touches to it so I'm always open to suggestions in that area as well.

    Like I said, anything.

You may have guessed this, but I know more about home improvement than shopping, Lol

If you just want some cheap furniture to get you going, try ikea. Isn't the best stuff around but cheap anyway. Target is a good place for home items and the quality is a little better.

If you do get the rooms re-carpeted, make sure you get 8 pound padding, not the cheap stuff. You can reuse 8#, plus if you skimp a little on the quality of carpet the good padding makes up for it.

Yea, I was already told about the padding and to go with nice stuff. I was definitely going to stop in at Ikea too but I was hoping I could catch Levin or those other furniture places when they have those huge liquidation sales.

Thats a good idea, something else I just thought about was trying craigslist.

It seems like home items, electronics ect. you can get cheap...

Yea, I have browsed there too. It's hard to tell the condition of some of the furniture by just looking at pictures though. That's the only thing that makes me nervous with that.

Wow, that would be awesome. I was looking at having two rooms plus the small hallway that leads into the kitchen done.
