Any way, Labor day weekend, who's in?

Let's plan to meet up or something :) all these fast cars and no one to race ;)

I'll be leaving Friday 6AM from Uniontown. Towing the Big5.0 with my RV. Ryan in his 85 GT with new X307 heads will be along with me, using his truck to tow. We plan on getting there 9-10AM, and setting up pit in the True Street area ???? Run Friday test and tune, True Street Sat, and True Street bracket Sunday (and a time trial).

I was planin on goin n runnin. Still might go and watch, will see. Maybe meet up with u guyz. But I'm goin next year and runnin for sure!
FYI thou, I F'ed my car up mergin n runnin it onto Route 28 goin from 3rd to 2nd gear for just the slightest insant, instead of 4th, comin out of a bend!
#@(&!!!!! Check engine lights on, its missin n not runnin right at all. Its also seems to be tappin out the left exhaust too.
Between the Flashlight Drags and PRP the last 2 years or so runnin the crap out of it, go figure it would happen mergin onto the highway!

Sounds like its time for a compression test. In a 5L that would more than likely result in an unhappy meeting between the pistons and the valves... unfortunately I'm speaking from experience here. I would expect the same to happen with a 4.6L.

^^Yeah, that's what I've been hearin from a couple people what it could be. I just hope n pray that nothin else is messed up like the clutch, tranny, or rearend.
If anything while its opened up, dependin on the loot situation. I'd like to get some forged internals, cams n maybe some heads. Maybe a port n polish on the PI ones that r on it. Car only got 40,000 miles. So will see here soon!

I plan on going Fri-Sun running either TS or brackets.
I will be with my brother at NMCA Milan tomorrow while he runs True Street. I've got a few questions for the True Street tech guy and then should know which way I'll be going.
Definitely would be good to meet up/pit with you guys. I will probably just put up a tent.

given how good you did in my pick-up last year, I don't think you need a fast car down there (if you can keep it outta 4 wheel drive that is

). when are we leaving anyway? I was hoping for early (before noon) thrus. but I don't know if that'll work for you.

I'm not sure when I can leave. I am leaving China wednesday, get in to Pitt real late we'd night. Got to go get trailer, load up, and even get washing done. Doubt it will be too early thurshday I can leave. Need to wedge some sleep in too and not at the tree. I will miss the truck for sure.

don't worry, I'm shure I'll do some sleeping at the tree for all of us at some point during the weekend

. I miss the truck too, gonna suck driving the car down, but I did put the back seat back in to carry my suitcase.

I'm going to just run brackets, might drive the car to that cruise at the local Hooters Friday night.
BTW, my brother is crewing for me like I did for him last weekend. He ran NMCA Milan True Street, finished 7th with a 10.45 avg then made it to the Quick 16 Fastest Street car shootout. He finished 4th there and got some cash and a nice plaque.
Sunday it ran 10.32 and 10.39---not bad on 18" MT DRs cutting a 1.44 60". Just using a 35 shot on the blower tune :)
Anyone want to pit together?

Cross your fingers for me that the clutch doesn't slip like the last pass at Norwalk, I'd love to run some 9s.

Pretty sure I am heading down with a buddy of mine early Sat. morning with his 8 second fox convertable street car. Probably gonna run True Street is what I think he said when we talked a lil while ago.

I sure will, and if you are close to the shop, you should stop by! Just not this week since I am home sick!!!

Yeah that would be the one.......410" with a precision 91mm on it, street car!!! lol
