We have Larry, Glenn, and I here all day, J and his brother got here just in time to get one pass. I struggled with traction today, J made a pretty nice pass for where he was set-up and the lousy traction.

For the 2.3 faithfull it was only Dale (TR6 w/2.3) and I today.

If anyone is coming out for Saturday we are all pitted together right on the last road in front of the back field.

A lot of struggled (stick cars), some not so much (soft auto's). The bald spots where pretty bad with all the common wheel base cars ;) My 60' times where all over the place, kept letting air out of the tires all day and never got close to a good hit. I typically know what to do with my junk to make it hook and had to take a lot out to make it do anything. It was the same last year, pretty bad on Friday, but pretty darned good for Sat/Sun. I don't know if they just don't try Friday or if it's the mix of true street tires, Drag radials, slicks, and similar wheel base all day that just beats it up with the "open" lanes.

Should be interesting tomorrow, one time trial then elimantions ;)

Cool, thanks for the update! We are coming down in the morning with my buddys street drive fox convertible, 91mm turbo, drag radial car. Think he is gonna run trus street with it, still shakin the car out.....new combination this year. Should be a fun time, try to find you guys!!!:)

Spectacular day at the track today. None of us did very well, but it was a really nice day :D Track was VERY tight this moring and through the early rounds. I wasnt around long enough to know what it did later in the day but it seemed to get a little looser. I equaled my best ever 60' this morning in my time trial so the track was there.

Regardless, it was a great day at the dragstrip :D

Sounds great!! I'm still planning on leaving here around 6-6:30 in the morning, to get there for the car show. I'm guessing I should be there around 9-9:30.

I see Brandon Alsept has taken a firm grasp of fastest 2vNA car in Pure Street. 10.27@129. Ported SVO heads, Trick FLow intake, weight at 2700lbs

That is just down right crazy fast for a 2vNA motor.

None the less, it was great to be in the sun with fast Fords all around and hang out with friends :)

Hey Bob, sorry I didn't get back over to hang out. That's one of those show's where there's lots to do. We met and made friends with one of the ladies from the Roush group, she was very nice and gave us a tour around thier trailers and cars. At least I got to meet ya. It was defenately a good time.

Definitely agree Bob.
It was great being at the track and was an excellent show overall.
Nice hanging out with you, Larry and Dale---hopefully we have a few more board guys next year.
As for my car, I made on clean run Friday afternoon--10.23 @ 147, spinning through 1st.
Un fortunately the clutch slipped on the next 2 passes and I didn't see a point of running it any further.
Hope you get the rear issue worked out---and post a pic of that nice launch ;)
