    12.75@107 on a 1.81 60' from a Cammed/Stalled LS2 is pathetic... I ran 12.80@108 stock. :(

    3) Lack of courtesy staging. As in, one driver would go right in and light both the prestage and stage bulbs. before the other driver had the prestage bulb on. Both drivers should be prestaged before moving to stage. In a bracket race, unless you're a deep stager, if you double bulb someone, you may end up sitting there staged for awhile if the other driver isn't pleased.
1st off, that is a good sign if the new track manager did that. I've been there when they have called last run at 9:45!

On your third point, I gave up courtesy staging long ago at T&T events. No one does it and if you attempt to and the other guy doesn't and goes right in, the autostart doesn't give you a lot of time to get the rev's up and such. When I race I'm actually there to "test and tune" and if that means I double bulb the guy to get my launch rpm and such correct then I say to hell with the other guy. I only had 1, and I mean 1 person courtesy stage with me at a T&T event, everyone else goes right in.

track manager did a great job last nite but for me as soon as the sun went down and the dew hit i was done for the nite. The first pass was ok but i still have to get the converter tightened up (motor blows through it and i dont get wheel speed). The second was scary and i was in and out of it til just passed the 1/8 then i called it quits. Best pass last nite was 9.78 @132 1.39 60ft .011 R/t next week will hopefully better. I agree with ares the air was still heavy last nite but the place was jam packed. Second pass was 10.05 @118 mph 1.3984 60ft .03 r/t

My best was 12.35 at 114. I am happy since this was my first time in two years since I ran that car and the first time on the Hoosier drag radials. I still haven't found the perfect launch for them yet. the first run, i spun them and the others, I bogged. Not bad for a ten year old sled!

1 & 3, if you know newbies that are coming up, pass the info along to help them out.
So they made $5925 on just the racers, not counting the spectators. Now that profit could significantly grow if they would listen to the racers. As in, having a race car TnT night and a street car TnT night. More of both would show up. I have been saying this for years though. Must keep falling on deaf ears.

Secondly, whats it matter if you stage first? There is no benefit to either party if you do. It does not let your light turn green first. Unless I am missing something here. Should you wait at the finish line so you can cross together also?

This was very true. The track was getting slick, fast. Slick cars were even blowing them off at the start and half track. I spun all the way in almost all my passes. My first was not bad but still spun like crazy. Even heated the DR's up nice. Didnt change anything.

Glad to hear you made it out there Sean....I tried the hoosiers in 315/35/17 on my 69 car but could only manage a 1.71. THen again our cars are totally different so hows that for an apples to oranges comparison.

    114 is moving.....lots of potential

You ever consider a set of coil-overs up front?

I did a datalog of one pull on dyno. Car only has 26 degrees total timing in at 6300. We did try adding fuel but it wouldn't except it.

Well John, not much to be impressed at.

    I think it was a 2.00 60'
    12.68 I think and
    107 MPH.

I almost am positive thats what it was. Traction was definatly a problem. It would just blow the tires off with zero trouble. Alot of it, well most of it, is the driver. I had 20 PSI hot, right off the highway. I wanted to drop it but never did. Tires are BFG drag radials too. 275/17's.

Some little bitch ass kid in an EVO is probably telling all his buddies that he ran down a blown mustang too. HAHAHAH I had him good and clear, top of third the tires broke, went to fourth and they broke again. I gave up at that point.

    John,
I may try coil overs but i think the first thing i am going to do is put 4.10s in it. You may remeber that I had a set that i sold but i may buy another set over the winter. With that and getting familiar with the DRs, I should have a 12.0 car which will be pretty cool. if you remember, that is a stock long block with a blower and that is it. I can't complain!

I don't know how to explain it better than "because." LOL
But I'll try. It is a courtesy thing mainly. There is no benefit, but if you double me, you put me at a disadvantage against the autostart, which starts when 3 of the 4 stage bulbs are lit. You turn your 2 on right away, and then when I turn my prestage on, autostart is on, and I have to stage before I get timed out. So I may not be as shallow as I want, because I hurried to bump in (being as shallow as possible gives best ET and mph), I may not be on the converter enough to launch where I want, things like that. I agree it's not a big deal on test n tune nights, but it can be in a bracket race. Do a search on courtesy staging, and you'll see most tracks require it for bracket racing. And some racers take exception to being double bulbed, whether it's test, time trial, or eliminations, and will leave you out to dry.
