But I'll try. It is a courtesy thing mainly. There is no benefit, but if you double me, you put me at a disadvantage against the autostart, which starts when 3 of the 4 stage bulbs are lit. You turn your 2 on right away, and then when I turn my prestage on, autostart is on, and I have to stage before I get timed out. So I may not be as shallow as I want, because I hurried to bump in (being as shallow as possible gives best ET and mph), I may not be on the converter enough to launch where I want, things like that. I agree it's not a big deal on test n tune nights, but it can be in a bracket race. Do a search on courtesy staging, and you'll see most tracks require it for bracket racing. And some racers take exception to being double bulbed, whether it's test, time trial, or eliminations, and will leave you out to dry.

Ok. I guess I can see a point then I dont really understand this tree thing though. I am not a racer but more of an occasional runner. Once a year, 2 times at best.

I know what you mean. When I first started going to the track, it wasn't much more than you, just a few times a year, and didn't know what it was either. It's one of those ettiquette things, like in bowling, where you check to see if the lanes next to you have someone stepping up to throw when you're getting ready to.

Just an FYI about this Saturday... the N20 Outlaws (quick 8 door cars) will be running Saturday, so traction should be great.

i remember when it was keystone. it was flurrying one night when i was up there late november.

the car went 11.40@124.35 had 1.77 60ft and went 98 mph in the 1/8 and the ram power grip hd clutch wasnt holding the power out of the gate.the car had no tune and a 3.0 upper,cold air intake and off road x pipe and mac cat back. stock 3.55 gear.now i have a 2.76 pulley and a spec 3+ clutch and a tune that isnt working, but i know the car is going to go in the 10s if i can drive it! and yes the car has spray but its only a 60 shot and when i sprayed it it burnt a plug so its going back to sgs.the car should go 10.90-11.0 with out spray and looking to go 10.6 - 10.70 on spray.but again i gotta be able to drive the car i was missing gears and my launch sucked wed. but the the 60 ft picked up 1.2 it was a 1.65 and it wasnt a good leave.im looking for a 1.5 60 ft and then get all the gears it should be a good run.
