    CA Emissions???

I must have been asleep under a rock. Is it true that PA now requires all new cars to be CA emissions certified?

I recall reading the thread about someone trying to get a GT/CS and the car not being CA emissions. Now I just get an email from my dad about someone he works with bought a Ranger in OH and PA is telling him he has to take it back, they won't title it or something.

I guess if you win a car on The Price is Right you'll be ok.

It is probaly true, afterall Pa always jumped on whatever bandwagon it could to gain more federal funding.

Just like they did to the diesel fuel. It used to be 500ppm then they dropped it down to 200ppm Now it is set at 15ppm. Makes it harder on the older trucks that were not designed to run on such low lubricating fuels and wears parts out. Good for the government and automakers cause you won't want to spend tons of money on repairs and will make you want to but a newer vehicle. Cure just add about half a quart of motor oil to a 32 gal tank and its close to the 500ppm. Or you could buy those pricey additives. Sad part is its not even vehicles that old. 6.0 fords, 5.9 cummins not real sure on duramax. Just think 5.9's were in trucks til 08.

The same YOU/WE/US that bought a so called environment friendly prius that uses up all the rare earth minerals? Oh and what are they going to do with the thousands of batteries when they go bad? I can see it now...50 years from now an old Prius sitting in a field. The bad part is there is NO trees, grass or anything thing growing around it.

Also good for government automakers...aka...GM...aka Gov't Motors.

How come no one bitches about better traffic lights and patterns to keep cars moving? I'll bet all the idling cars in traffic add up to significantly higher fuel consumption and emissions than forcing all new car sales to meet CA emissions.

If you really wanted to get into a conspiracey(spelling) theory you could probaly count that in as well cause the idling cuts into our fuel economy which hits us directly in the pocket therfor making us want to buy more mileage friendly models. Personaly they can all kiss my ass I'll just keep buying my diesels course they crack down on smoke sometimes as well. CA and even some other states you get a fine for it.

The testing process hasn't changed. Trying to figure out wtf happened with not being able to title cars from OH and WV in PA, unless they're CA emissions.
