I haven't had a bad Southern Tier beer yet.

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

    Work trip day 2:
    Weyerbacher Blithering Idiot English Barleywine
First sip was just incredible and full of flavor, much like a doppelbock. After about 4oz it warms up and gets more heavy and syrupy, like a doppelbock. I think beers like this are supposed to be drank warmer, but I'm no pro and I'd rather have it nice and cold to counteract the syrupiness. I'll definitely buy this one again.

That looks pretty damn good. I'll have to remember that one if/when I finish this damn diet.

Day 4: Wow, this stuff is amazing. I'll be taking home a six pack (or more) of this one.

Day 5 was a trip to a Grace O'Malley's Irish Pub in Norfolk, VA for a variety of beer tasting. The place was great. They had live music, awesome food, and local craft beer.
Day 6: Tröegs' Troegenator Doublebock. This is one of my favorites. Very carmely and just plain delicious.

Last day of my work trip was a great oak barrel stout by Dominion. Definitely one I'll pick up again. I also picked up a new glass!
If you're ever in Norfolk, I recommend stopping at O'Connor Brewing Company. I had their flight of 7 seasonals, and every one was great.

A cheap and wonderful stout. They switched to cans since I last bought it, unfortunately. Still tasty, but the can rings are a pain.

It definitely tastes like a thin mint.
I didn't like it, but I don't like thin mints.

That troegs first cut is pretty good though.

An excellent wheat beer, and a last look at the crappy paneling in my kitchen before it gets torn out.
