Wifey and I went to PF Changs today and they had PBR on tap. They were advertising it specifically on the happy hour menu. WTF is up with that? Did the proverbial 70's redneck beer make a resurgence with the hifalutin, yuppy crowd somehow?

I had some Straub and Sierra Nevadas the other night. PBR's or say Busch are great when they're free or when u get a cheap six-pack of those in pounder form!

I have been mostly on a liquid diet of TsingTao for the last few weeks. I need to get home and give my liver a break.

I've had that Chesterfield stuff and I thought it was terrible. Sierra is a decent winter beer, but not really my favorite either. Had some Penn St. Nick at the Penn Brewery a couple weeks ago and it was really good. Not sure if it's better this year than in past years or if it's just better on draft. I can't remember having it on draft before and I'm sure that would be the best place to get it. Winter is probably my favorite beer season, Mad Elf, Anderson Valley Winter Solstice, East End Snow Melt, to name a few :)

Been on a real big Hefeweizen kick as of late.

Bought a case of Hofbrau Hefeweizen and a case of Franziskaner in the past month.

Also bought a 4 pack of Dogfish head 90 minute IPA 2 weeks ago and loved every minute of it.

Thinking of treating my self to a Unibroue sampler case for Xmas, I love everything that comes out of that brewery.

    Beer

Got our Xmas bonuses today.... More then last year so I bought the case of Franziskaner in celebration.

They had a case of founders breakfast stout which I have been dying to try as the bros on beeradvocate gave it an A+. But I couldn't stomach the $57... I'd buy a case of Unibroue for that.

Headkeeper had it on tap last winter ... was okay, but I've had better.

I've been beer lazy lately, been on a black and tan kick.
