Southern Tier is a brewery in South Eastern NY (Lakewood NY) and Un*earthly is their Imperial India Pale Ale.

Bought a case of Pious monk dunkel from the Church Brew Works on Saturday and Stieny and I finished it quick... I wanted the Unibroue sampler pack but didn't feel like spending the $60

Dilema time ... Got a ton of travel coming up. Stopped at the doctor to get my flu shot and a booster vaccine I need, along with a Rx for Tamiflu to have handy. Doctor also wrote me some "help" for sleep with all the time shifts that will be happening (+12, -13, EST, +6, EST, then -1 over 8 weeks). Of course the warnings all over that are No alcohol.

What to do??? I usually survive on beer while traveling, so do you stick with the horse that served you well and self medicate or move on to modern medicine?

I can't believe you're asking this. Wifey will try something brand new on to go to a wedding and ask if it's OK. I always say the same thing: Don't change it up on race day. Stick to what works.

eh... I'm not directly comparing you to Wifey... although it seems that way.

so, I go to my local dist. he got 18 16's on sale for $12.45. OK, what's 18 16's ? 18x16= 288. Guess what? 12x24= 288. So, that's a case for $13.20 with tax. Yeah, I'll take it.

I know that Wifey is going to ask what's up with the pounders in the fridge, so I got my answer ready. She says, "How come there are 16's in here ???"

I said, "Cause they don't make 'em in 20's."

I drank last night for the first time in quite a while..I started around 130pm. Miller lite all day, then around 1030pm almost 11 I took about 6 or so shots of Jose and 2-3 of Soco..mann i was rocked..felt like shit all day, think im getting sick or im jus that hung over..

Troegs MadElf Ale (11% ALC/VOL) is in for the season!

I had my first couple last night mmmmm love that stuff!

I also picked up a case of Victory"s new Yakima Twilight. WOW what a great beer! I would compare it to Nugget Nectar, lots of hops but with a smooth dark malt after taste. Very yummy stuff and best of all 8.7% ALC/VOL

mmmmmm like fruit! A lot of your top end micro's and Belgians have some type of fruit fermenting in them, but this is a chocolate cherry .... very different and strangely good? I couldn't drink 10 of them but maybe a couple mixed in with some stouts.

The brewery is O'Fallon located in Stevens Point WI.

People I work with bring me beers to try. I guess my tall tales of quaffing stronger than usual libations with mad abandon makes them think I'm some kind of guru, BUT I digress... drinking this now. Or, more like it's consuming me.
