Nice Track Outting

Spent wednesday TnT and saterday race trying to dial in my shift points. Which I couldn't do before easily without knowing where car is making it's power. Left it the same as wednesday for first time run.

Car goes 12.527@109.46, 7.996@83.55, 1.662 short. Still missing thru top half of track.

For next run I pulled 2* total timing from 4-7K, tried adding 2% fuel at 2-4k, added 4* intial timing. Set my shift points to 6400 1-2, 6350 2-3 and 6300 3-4. Launch at 6000 and 14psi in slicks.

Car goes 12.385@110.35, 7.900@83.55, 1.656 short. Still missing top half of track.

1st round elims
Car goes 12.384@106.58(tapped brakes at strip), 7.897@86.74, 1.661 short. Car would have been about 12.378 looking at 1000'

2nd round
Car goes 12.314@110.62, 7.848@87.14, 1.654short. Second fastest pass for this car to date

Course car still has the nasty miss going on. Gonna pull plugs and change those today.

Swapped out plugs today. Pulled the NGK Iridiums and they looked ok. Still all gapped at .053" Light brown on insulation but back side of grounding tip was yellowish. I guess from additives in todays fuel?

Replaced with Champion coppers and gapped to .045" Suppose I'll hit up TnT this week and see how it goes.

Is that the stock gap for those plugs? I'm wondering if your gap was a little less, the strength of the spark would be stronger, might help reduce the miss?

Stock is .052-.054" and I had last set at .053"

This set I am going to try at .045"

Yes. Few things still to buy yet. Current goal is to go atleast 11.8s or faster making as much power as possibles NA. Hoping my heads are done this week or early next.
