Talk to Mike at Wolfpack about his F-250 turbo diesel setup. He's real thrilled with the HP and fuel economy now!

the v10 truck seem to loose alot of power after 100k miles, the ford diesels are the way to fly...

Go diesel if possible. Way better fuel milage and tons of power and torque on tap.

I have owned 5, 3/4 ton pickups. 2 cheby's and 3 Fords, Ford>Cheby so I wont waste my time talking about the wanabe trucks cheby makes!!!

The 5.4 is an absolute joke, don't waste your time or money. I owned an 08 that got approximatly 9.5 city and 11-12 highway. I pull a 24' enclosed trailer that kicked the living shit out of the 5.4.

The V10 is a good motor that has plenty of power. I owned an 05 that got approximately 10.5 pretty much all the time unless towing. When towing the same 24' trailer I would have the cruise on 80, just pushing people out of the way!

The powerjoke takes the cake, crushes the other trucks in mileage and power, stock truck for stock truck. Now that I have a 4" turbo back, intake, egr delete and a Lund Racing tune....It's just stupid and it isn't even on kill mode!

    Good Luck!

Ever see a bigblock or gaser with stock internal pull all its life past 200k? Mine has 186k on it and I push on it every day. NoI dont tow I am a bit off the ground to do that, but that is abuse on it. I run 38"s each tire alone not including the wheel weighs 97 pounds. The truck came from texas where they used to tow a 5th wheel with it. Head has never been off(soon will be by my choice). You can't beat a diesel if your towing. My favorites are the 5.9 cummins and 7.3 Ps. 6.0's make power but have a reliabilty issue. Delete the egr if you get one. I love the 5.9 cummins though. Damn near industructable. Though I would buy a 04-07 5.9 If I was to buy another. They can make some serious power and easy.
6.4ps/6.7 cummins. I read alot about cummins and the 6.7 seems to be screwed by egr shit and a locked up ecm that no one hasd been able to crack much.
6.4 ford is a power house with a few small issues they may have worked out. With dpf delete spartan tune and cold air kit these things are seeing 550+hp. That is minimal upgrades.
Go diesel or buy stock in aa gas company.

I have a 2004 Crew Cab V10 and it gets around 11.5 mpg around town with ~15 mpg on the highway. I pulled a 24 enclosed trailer with my 73 mustang down to the 45th in Alabama this past april and I got ~10.5 mpg round trip. I did not get a diesel because I do not put enough miles on it. My daily commute is 4 miles each way and I was told that would cause me problems if I had a diesel.

I would love to have a deisel super duty as my next truck. I pull a 14 by 7 inclosed trailer all day everyday for my business. My only concern is deisel fuel is still hard to find in my area. I have 2 gas stations within a half mile of my house and neither one has it.
