How to buy an R-title car

What do you have to do to buy an R-title car form out of state? Car is from NC. Any info would help

have them sign the title and bill of sale and then see a notary when you return.now make sure its a r-title not a salvage certificate.if you are driving the car back go get a transit tag at the nc.
