Who Drives a Mustang in the Winter?

I drive a 91 GT Vert as an every day driver including in the winter. I hate car payments and if I were to get something it would be a decked out 6.0 Superduty. I don’t have the cash for that. Either way, my stang was fine today. A good set of snow tires and some old cast BB heads in the trunk, she is fine!

Who else drives one in the snow?

The parking lot I usually park in has an 01 Cobra (was there today) and an 04 GT today (V8chick - is a member on here and I work with her). Fun stuff!

Damb. I give some props to those people. The cobalt even had a hell of a time today. On a lighter note, i tried getting the stang out of the garage the other day so i could try to clean the interior a lil bit. Got it was stuck in my grandmas driveway where its located. Only about 2 inches of snow but it took my dads truck to get it out. That was fun.

Good luck with that, sure you could find a cheap 4x4 with no payments. I'd rather keep my mustangs nice and not drive them in the winter

I do, don't have any problems at all down here in Morgantown. 160lbs of sand in the truk and some cheap a/s goodyears does the trick. The ice today gave me some problems but my roomates 4x4 1500 ram was slidin around too

you guys are crazy. my gt has been parked for the past couple of weeks.
i was using it on the nice days when the roads are clear but can't use it for work b/c the pigs houses i go to never have clean driveways etc amd i am sure the car would get stuck.,

i bitch about my pig of a truck 99% of the time, but was loving it yesterday...had no problem getting anywhere and it ran like a tank. the ice today will be a diffrent story. still haven't made my mind up if i am staying home from work or not.

Both stangs are sitting in the driveway covered, and have been for like 2 months now. Very sad site to see every day when you come home and they are covered in a fresh coat of snow.:(

Gee thanks ;) I took my driver test (in car) in the snow and ice. HATE driving in the crap, but I gotta admit, she handles pretty damn well. I love the look on some drivers faces when they see me plowing through in a Mustang. Despite the all season tires I get decent traction once I turn off traction control. Handling is awesome, believe it or not.

Just wish I could have more fun doing skids, slides and donuts.

This is my first winter with 4wd. I was grinning ear to ear on my way in to work today. It was a strange feeling going uphill straight instead of sideways.

Bella likes the snow, so I don't have many problems in it.

No way would you ever catch me out in the snow with my stang.. I've had it put away since september! lol Hell if the roads are even wet in the summer time or theres a chance of rain it goes nowhere. Call me anal if you like.. but I love looking under it and seeing everything perfectly clean. It actually kills me to even drive the focus in this crap.. I miss my 91 ranger : (

My mustang stays in the garage when it is wet out or below 40 degrees. I don't bring it out until a hard spring rain washes the salt off the roads. One time I backed it out of the garage and there was 2 inches of snow out it spun while it was idling.

Driving on 579 today, I come up on a line of cars doing like 15 MPH...I'm thinking WTF...I slowly change into the left lane and take it up to about 40.

As I pass the cars, I see the problem- some guy in a black 99-04 Mustang GT can barely keep it on the road at 15MPH! LOL I felt sympathetic, a few years ago I was in the same position.

I love front wheel drive and traction control in this weather.

Bozo needed to turn traction control "OFF". Then again I saw a bozo CREEPING down the road in a jeep. Some folks don't belong on the road, let alone when the weather is bad.
