    PRP TnT 9-9-09

Ok so beautiful night and was hardly anyone. Nothing like last week where it was packed. Street had all 6 lanes but they only looked full to end of lanes and slick cars there was maybe 20-25 tops.

So who else was there? Those that didn't go the traction was great.

Could have had 7 passes but took just 6. Played with strut settings and launch rpm leaving everything else the same.

    1. 12.366@109.70, 1.63 60' - left at 6000, struts at #2
    2. 12.285@110.59, 1.60 60' - left at 6000, struts at #1 (2nd fastest pass in car)
    3. 12.325@110.43, 1.60 60' - left at 6200, struts at #1
    4. 12.305@110.29, 1.59 60' - left at 6000, struts at #2
    5. 12.305@110.54, 1.61 60' - left at 6200, struts at #2
    6. 12.342@110.54, 1.64 60' - left at 6100, struts at #2 (only had 19 minutes cool down other passes had about 30 minutes between runs)

New plugs seemed to help as I didn't notice much of a miss but car needs alot more fuel and I'm maxed out with injectors. Blew out both mufflers also tonight so now need new exhaust.

I was there too. First time to the track ever. My old tired 208rwhp 126k mile NPI threw down a best of 13.97 @ 97mph with a worn out t-lok and a 230lb driver.

I was betting it would be empty with the weather being a little different than last week, and school back in. And it was quicker than last week.

Nice runs Ed. Good and consistent, good set up going into King of Street.

Modular Mike, what did you think of it, for your first time?

Well I'll tell ya what.. It took me until about half track my first run to realize I was racing haha. It all happens so fast. I definitely need to improve my driving because I was only cutting 2.0x 60fts on 255 ET Street Radials but over all I had a blast and I can't wait to do it again.

That's awesome! That's the way I feel every time, even if I lost, can't wait to do it again. To me, going down the 1320 is like riding the Thunderbolt... so much fun I just want to hop back in line and ride again and again. It does happen fast. I remember very well the first time I went to the line, and all of a sudden -oh sh!t- here comes the tree! Go! I hope you hit that 100mph mark, and keep on having a blast.
