You know how they fine the players if they do something wrong? Why can't the ref's get fined every time they make a bad call?

    hahah

immediately after the game i hear probably 10 different people go "jeff reed sucks" "jeff reed blows" "i hate jeff reed" etc etc.

but its so funny because if he missed those 2 kicks and we still won, nobody would be saying s hit. i hate people that act that way - love everyone when we win, hate everyone when we lose.

i never thought he would miss both but he has been so consistent that he had to have a bad game sometime soon and tonight was the night. he is still the man!

Reed had a bad day at the office. It happens. I'm just glad it was against an NFC team rather than somebody in the conference.

I didn't expect it to go this way though :(

honestly, Polamalu makes a difference. I can't say Carter played BAD, but there were quite a few passes completed right in front of his face. Could Troy have prevented/intercepted a few of those? Who knows. It was raining pretty bad. You couldn't really tell on the TV... I think Troy would have played better than Carter, though???

You hate to place all the onus on one player on the defense, but he is a play-maker game-breaker.

    Get well soon, dude.

I was suprised myself when Reed missed, especially when he missed the second time. Did you see the look on his face? He couldn't believe it either. I feel bad for him too and it sucks how fast people turn on players when they have a bad day. It's just not right.

Everybody got there off days! He walks around with his cocky, my shit don't stink attitude all the time. Serves him right for takin it for granted that he kicks it perfect everytime. That's tuff, go get'em next time Jeff! Get the bugs worked off early at least.

I would say confident, not cocky.

Definitely missing Troy. Not just in coverage, but how he affects the whole Steelers D, and messes up the opposing offense's plans.

Shocked that Reed missed 2, but he was kind of due. He's money, so this was his bad game that popped up at the wrong time.

Defense didn't play all that well. Holmes just had butter fingers all day. Reed's two missed kicks. Mendenhall breaks off that 39yard run and then he doesn't see another carry rest of them game

I mean my god when the offensive line is the shiny beacon of that day, hell has frozen over

wow - today's game was pitiful - no excuse for letting Palmer drive them down the field twice in the 4th quarter... Now we're 2 games down to the Ravens, with the Chargers coming to town. Time to start playing with some desperation boys...

Yep, steelers always come out strong then peter out for some reason. In the end the interception is what cost them the game though. Like you said, desperation will set in sometime soon..
