    Slicks

What size slicks are you guys running? I want to buy a set of DOT Bias Ply slicks to put on the stock 16" 96-98 Pony wheels I have. I just want to know what all I can fit without rubbing. I don't mind 26" or 28". I need them to fit on the stock 16x7 wheels and not rub on my 98 GT or the 03 Cobra. Thanks.

Im looking at the 28x10x16 Hoosier Drag slicks. Will they fit on the Terminator with 16x7 ponys? Also what are the advantages with a Quick Time Pro DOT tire opposed to a non-DOT Drag Slick?

I believe a 28" tire will give you some probs on a termie.

Might as well go for the 26x9.50x16s I just hope they don't look dumb I don't want them looking retarded on the Cobra but 28x10 is probably too much tire for my car anyway. And the 26x9.50s are QTPs so they are DOT.

The 26-9.50-16 QTP's are rather narrow IMO. If i remeber right, it's only a 8" tread. Might be worth looking at a 26-10.50 ET Street. A little wider anyway, and I've run them on 7" wheel before. No idea of fitment on your applications but it seems they all would like more tire :D

Remember that the DOT stuff is LT (light truck) rated so the width is at the sidewall. A true slick is measured at the tread face.

the 10.50 will more than likely have rubbing issues.

Jump on the terminator section of svtp, im sure someone could be more specific. I just know what will fit on our cars, and I think the new edge with the irs is even worse..

If I recall correctly, Mike(Bonecrusher) ran at least a 26x10.5x16 et street on the waffle wheel on his old 03. That tire will fit on my gto as well and the termy has way more clearance.

I assume your 03 still have the stock 3.55 gears. If so I would stay away from a 28. a 26 will keep you closer to actually stock tire height. I think a 26x10.50x16 should be ok for you. Also i really cant see rubbing being a issue unless you are lowered. I am running a 15in rear rim ans a hoosier QTP 27x11.50x15 and have no rubbing or fender clerence issue.
