    Sig 556

I picked up a Sig 556 last week (still haven't shot it yet) I put a Mako front grip/bipod and EO tech sight. It seems a lot heavier than my AR... I have it with me at work, might shoot it in at lunch time.

Yea, sure does shoot good. It don't get as dirty as the AR after shooting either.

They are not AR's, but non the less nice rifles.

I know, but most prople think of them as the same. Now that I own one, Iwon't think of ever buying another traditional AR rifle. Sig just needs to make a Sig 762 now. :D

I would'nt mind picking one up myself in the same configuarion as yours which I beleive is the commando model, correct?

As for the 7.62 version, that thing would weigh a ton.

Edited to add just seen your post it is a commando.

They are built on kits with enough american parts in them to make them 922r compliant, so in turn they are rebuilt.

Get one, you won't regret it! As for the tonnage, that is a good thing. 7.62 makes things real dead on the 1st try!

I may get one down the road, but for now I have one more AR to complete, just need optics then it's on to the next project.

Not all WASR-10s are former military "kit rifles" with 922r parts. Some are brand new rifles made in Romania (with 922r parts installed when they get here). Some of them ARE former military "kit rifles"- I think that these are labeled "WASR-10/63".
