Finally got myself a Lightning

a Buell Lightning that is. hahahahahaha traded the Sporty in this morning at Highland HD in Somerset. Very good people to deal with. definitely worth the trip and I'll probably go there for all my service, too.

It's a leftover brand new 2008 XB12S. Cherry Bomb Transluscent (<<< I love that name

It was 40 miles to Somerset and 115 back home. I can't figure that out. I didn't want to get off the thing.

anyway, this is in the pics/vids area and I have no pics because Wifey took the camera to work. I think she did it on purpose. WTF?

yessir, prime auto sports. we dont stock the tires we get our tires from m&m leather

till spring then itll be a full parts unlimited dealership and drag specialtys

If you don't know (and I'm not mocking anybody), this bike is cooler than you think. What looks like the gas tank is actually the airbox. The gasoline is in the frame. And, the motor is a dry sump set-up with the oil stored in the left side of the swingarm. Not bad for an air cooled, push-rod motor either. 1203cc = about 74ci and it makes 103hp / 84ftlbs tq.

That is cool! I had no idea that they used the frame that way. Where do you fii it? And how much gas can it hold? I've always liked bikes, never had one so I really don't know much about them.
