    1966 Mustang 250ci Inline 6 HotRod!

I don't exactly knwo where to place this, so I used V-6/4-banger section.

This is a 250ci Inline 6 cylinder with an adjustable valvetrain and a lumpy performance cam and a Holley 0-7448 350 CFM 2 barrel carb. Also, we welded up a deep sump so it now holds 7 QT's of dinosaur juice. It actually started easy, much aesier than I thought. I did prime the fuel lines by pushing compressed air into the tank until I had fuel at the fuel pump, and we ran the oil pump for about 2 min until we had oil flowing out of the rocker shaft prior to turning it over.

The carb has been setting for years as well, I may just order a new one from Summit for $270, it is going to be hard to tune this carb after the fuel solidified in it.... it's running, but its a rich pig and adjusting the carb is not seeming to have a reaction. A garbage can may be the easiest fix for that carb!

No points, we put in the electronic ignition upgrade. I still have to make brackets for the cable throttle system and build the trans. Once it is running, I'll yank the trans and build it with a Trans-Go kit and a higher stall convertor.

Make sure you check out the video, this little 250 has some serious ROHMP going on...LOL!

    The engine prior to starting:

The fuel after 3 years in the fuel tank setting in the shop:

This the other hell and chaos that is a part of my life, and why I rarely get anything actually finished. Now remember, this is a hobby garage, not a thriving business! Don't bad mouth our little hole in the wall.

That got a 7.3 Powerstroke in it with +50HP injectors and a HyperMax 100 HP chip, a lift, new wheels and Pro-Comp Extreme All-Terrain tires and the bed was just sprayed....Sunday.

After it sets for a few weeks (could be months with me!) it will get wet sanded and buffed and them pushed out in the field. You want to buy it?

If your interested, let me know. If it has a buyer, it will get finished much sooner!

I was wrong on engine. I started thinking about it... and the engine in that is the IDI turbo 7.3. We put the DI Powerstroke in a green one.

Those are the "Black" Dick Cepeck DC-1 wheels 16x10 with Pro-Comp Extreme All-Terrain 35x12.50x16 tires. It is a large truck... both tall and long!

That 6cid sounds awsome! My sister and brother in law (pinkstang67) need to hear that. Thier 67 has a straight 6 but sounds nothing like that! That's sweet man!

    Well,

Got the LOKAR throttle in and swapped the carb. I still need to make a braket for the cables (throttle and kick-down).

The new car really helped tune in the engine, the old one had blown power valve and other issues that were fighting a proper tune. Too many years with completely crusted gas, I just could not get it to work again even after a couple weeks of alternating hours soaking and then blowing/scrubbing. It just is not worth it.

So things are moving, maybe next a paint job is in order. Maybe a nice dark metallic blue like the old Crew Cab.... and the white stripes as well!

I corrected myself, that truck got the IDI 7.3 Turbo, the green one got the PSD.

I'll tell you what... when it (blue one or green one) gets truely finished I'll post something here for you all. I have no idea when I'll honestly get to finishing one. I'm much better at starting projects than I am at finishing them!
